How to Unlock Facilities
Facilities in Crimson Desert are not just buildings that you can rent. They are a means to make a profit from using hired workers, setting up the equipment, selecting what to trade, and making money with their operations. But the process may be rather confusing at the beginning since you have to know how to use equipment, hire workers, arrange decorations, and choose goods.
In order to unlock this game feature, you first of all have to install the Charting the Unknown DLC. Also, you have to complete the Grounds of the Sunrise faction quests until you unlock the second camp expansion. The first one is unlocked using Gathered Will, and the second one – using Solid Foundation.
Now, when you have installed the needed expansions and completed the required quests, you have to start playing the Charting the Unknown faction quests. Start the Renewed Vitality quest line and return to Hernand, where you can find a poster on the notice board that will introduce you to facilities management at the sawmill.
How to Find New Facilities
It is quite easy to get the list of facilities you can buy through your world map. Open your world map and use the Facilities filter from the left side. It will show all available facilities in the region. The map icons with currency signs will indicate business facilities, which you can rent and begin operations.
Keep in mind that you’ll have limited workers, especially during the early stages of the game. Since you’ll want to assign workers with high skill levels to improve production speed, it’s better not to purchase too many facilities at once.

Installation of equipment is very crucial. Try to organise everything in a way which corresponds to how your employees use the equipment. Place the places of storage close to places of processing and the places of crafting close to the place of customers.
If your employees have to walk throughout the whole facility to pick the raw materials and to deliver the product, the work will be done longer. In addition, you can always change the places of equipment installation whenever you like. There are no major downsides to rearranging your setup, so feel free to experiment until you find a layout that works.
How to Increase Your Facility’s Class
You will see that there is a facility rating in the top left corner of the Management tab. A higher facility rating will allow you to increase prices for your goods. In order to upgrade the class of your facility, you should put decorations and pieces of furniture which will give bonuses to some skills.
For instance, the luxurious table will be able to give a bonus to cooking skill. There are some other things like beds and hay which will increase some facility stats. You have to check the bonuses provided by a particular object before you put it.
How to Assign Workers
Once your equipment setup is complete, you are ready to employ workers. It is easy, just like setting up the equipment. All you need to do is select those workers who will help operate the machines in your businesses. The more skilled the workers are, the better they will operate the machines.
Assign the workers to those businesses where they can help you make more money. Some of the workers may be skilled for other work, but if they are going to generate more income for you, they can be more valuable to you.
However, you won’t have unlimited workers. Each facility has a limited number of staff slots, and you’ll quickly find that there aren’t enough workers to operate every business at once. This is another reason why it’s better to focus on a few facilities and assign your best workers to them rather than spreading everyone too thin.
What Are Special Visitors
A special visitor is a type of customer who will visit your company. You should always be able to identify these visitors because they have names. If a visitor receives a positive experience from your company, it gives the company a temporary boost.
There is no need to perform any actions to trigger this boost. You just have to maintain your company properly and serve customers effectively. After the visitor leaves, you can go to the Management menu to see what boost he/she gives you. For instance, a single visit might give you a 15% boost for worker stats. They are a pleasant addition to the game, but you should not make your business solely based on them.
How to Make Money From Your Facilities
After setting up all the stuff, your business will start making money while it is operating. There is no need to be present at the facility and control the work of each employee personally. The only thing that you should do is to make sure that you have hired appropriate people, equipment, and goods before leaving. In the case of proper management, any business will bring you quite a good profit.
Facilities serve as a source of income which can come in handy when you save money for buying expensive things like ships. Instead of starting all businesses that are available to you, it would be better to create several efficient facilities with skilled employees. After doing this, you can start earning money while exploring the remaining territories of Pywel. In order to do it efficiently, you should try to group the equipment, hire employees according to their skills, and choose appropriate goods.
