Pebbling is a rare Aniimo that you will find within the walls of a cave in Nimbus Fields if you wish to find it early in the game. As opposed to most other Aniimos, Pebbling is found far below ground level, so you will need to navigate the caves in order to get there. Here is how to reach its location.
Early Pebbling Location
Pebbling is an Aniimo which is a small brown-colored Earth-type Aniimo having a skull on top of its head. This Aniimo has the ability to burrow underground and is considered the first of a four-step evolution line.
In order to catch this Aniimo, simply open up your map and navigate towards the Nimbus Fields’ Crystal Cave in the Breezy Plains. Place a marker at -1255, 0716. You will find the cave entrance in the open grass, so you do not need to search around cliffs or hidden areas.
At the specified coordinates, you need to find a campfire accompanied by a Cave Explorer NPC. Simply walk past the NPC and make your way down to the cave using the stone stairs. Your initial entrance will be blocked by a crystal, but you can use any Fire type Aniimo to break it down.
A chest will also fall to the ground at the same time, so unlock it to pick up some crystals, Aniipods, Credits and Growth Buds. You can get down here by using a flying Aniimo to glide down the blue-lit plant-filled pathways. The distance that you have to cover is very long, hence, attempting to walk down will lead to fall damage. Gliding lets you safely reach the cave floor.
After that, continue moving forward in the tunnel, and you’ll spot the first Expedition Notes pickup lying on the floor. Pick it up and continue forward. The path ahead will be blocked by a gate, use your Fire Aniimo to burn it down and gain access to the collapsed corridor ahead. After that, you’ll see a purple glow coming from a pillar near the stairs. Interact with it in order to get your Crystal Cave fast travel point.
Now keep moving further through the tunnel until you come across some stone ruins. Jump across and pick up the second Expedition Note near the entrance. Go through the stone archway, and, if you are lucky, you can find a Level 11 Pebbling right here. You can use your Aniipod Pro to capture it.
In case you don’t find any Pebbling here, continue down the corridor and burn down the vines blocking your way. There will be a steep drop just ahead, so be careful. You will also find a chest once you hit the bottom.
From there you have to move downward through a water-filled shaft vertically. Don’t forget to pick up the third Expedition Note nearby. At the end of the cavern, you will find a handful of Pebblings to catch. The Pebblings here could range anywhere from level 10 to level 30, so carry some good Aniipods to catch them.
