The Recon Tower is a valuable defensive structure in Wardogs that gives players an elevated view of the field. The tower allows players to locate opponents, monitor critical zones, and help their team track the movements of the opponent. The asset is particularly handy in your Forward Operating Base (FOB), where visibility is limited on the ground. In this guide, we’ll show you how to build and use the Recon Tower effectively.
How to Build a Recon Tower
The recon tower will help you get an overview of the surrounding area. To build a recon tower, the first thing you will need is a large hammer. You can purchase a large hammer in the Item Shop when you achieve support level 8. If you do not have support level 8 yet, you might be able to find the hammer at the FOB. Other players might also drop supplies by means of a helicopter, which might include hammers for other players.
After obtaining the hammer, make sure you equip it and right-click to reveal the building tab. Using the F key, select the Recon Tower. After selecting the appropriate spot where you want to build the structure, place it there.
Use the left-click button to begin building the structure. Ensure that you leave sufficient room for the structure and that the structure is placed far from any other structure. While constructing, you can also speed up the construction process by clicking the X marks on the structure.
If your Recon Tower is damaged or destroyed, you can use the same hammer to repair it. If you plan on moving base and want to dismantle your tower, again use the hammer to tear it down. While rebuilding it, you need to follow the same process as earlier to create a new Recon Tower.
How to Use a Recon Tower
Install them to cover blind spots outside your wall or areas used by your enemy, and not for the sake of just keeping an eye on your own interiors. Install them close to the corners in such a way that an observer on one tower will be able to see two sides of the wall from the outside. Go up to the top of your building and use binoculars or scopes to detect and ping the enemies and give real-time coordinates to your squad or mortars.
In Wardogs, Recon Tower is a two-story building that is constructed by the players and managed by the Support class through a construction hammer. It provides an elevated vantage point to spot enemies, coordinate team fire, and secure the perimeter of a Forward Operating Base (FOB).
