Mountain Unveiled Quest Overview

Mountain Unveiled is a Jianghu Legacy quest in the Hidden Mountain area of Where Winds Meet. The quest connects with the main story, as completing it gives players access to the hidden path leading to Mohist City in Suixiang.

Unlike missions that rely heavily on combat, Mountain Unveiled emphasizes solving chain linking mechanisms and constructing bridges, as well as guiding Feng Jisheng through the mountain. The quest concludes with an encounter with the Golden Colossus.

How to Unlock Mountain Unveiled

Mountain Unveiled appears during Chapter 4’s main quest Haven Astray. The quest will be given to you after you have crashed your wooden airplane and healed Feng Jisheng. There is no need to search for any NPC to accept this quest, as the quest will begin on its own as part of the game’s progression.

Open the Hidden Passage with Feng Jisheng

When the quest starts, make your way to the mountain gate along with Feng Jisheng. After arriving, activate the secret passage by using the disciple token on the hidden entrance.

Upon entering the mountain, Heron refuses to accept the token and puts you to the test. The rest of the quest will involve you solving multiple puzzles related to several bridges. It is advised you equip the skill Celestial Seize to complete the tasks efficiently.

Create the First Bridge Using Chains and Wooden Planks

After the opening segment, talk to Feng Jisheng to get wooden planks. Use the planks to make walkways across the chain bridges.

Next, move to the nearby devices, use Celestial Seize to bind the iron ropes together. Once the chains have been tied together, use the hologram mechanism to put the wooden planks in place and complete the first bridge. Cross the bridge, moving deeper into the mountain.

Solve the Chain Bridge Puzzles

In the course of climbing the mountain, you will come across different gaps where you will have to work with iron chains. Use Celestial Seize and connect the correct chains to make pathways between the platforms. Also, if necessary, the chains previously connected can be remade and used again.

In some places, wooden boards can be put on top of the iron chains in order to create proper bridges, while in some cases even crossing over the chains is possible. At a certain moment, you can use an explosive barrel on rocks to reveal a hidden pot. This interaction is optional and is not required for quest completion.

Disable the Mechanical Crossbow

As you traverse the platforms, you will encounter a mechanical crossbow that will launch an attack. To take care of it, you need to grab an explosive barrel and toss it toward the machine. After you have destroyed the mechanism, you will be able to complete linking the chains to reach the next area.

Help Feng Jisheng Cross the Mountain

Once you arrive at the other platform, you should interact with the mechanism as this will initiate a cutscene. After that, Feng Jisheng will start operating the mechanism, allowing you to progress. You can use Celestial Seize technique to join the chains from the platform to your current position. Build paths in this manner until you reach the place where Feng should be able to reach you.

In some sections, it is also possible to use the chains as narrow paths instead of making a bridge. When Feng arrives at your location, you will need to build another bridge using the chains and go towards the larger wooden bridge. After arriving at the location, check on Feng and it will trigger a cutscene where the bridge is lowered by Heron.

After crossing further into the mountain, Feng Jisheng collapses. Carry him on your back and continue moving forward.

A Golden Colossus will appear on the lowered bridge, blocking your path. Defeat the Golden Colossus to complete Heron’s test and continue ascending the mountain.

Complete the Mountain Unveiled Quest

Upon vanquishing the Golden Colossus, proceed in the direction indicated by the quest marker to reach the glowing location. Once you’ve arrived at the destination, you’ll unlock the final cutscene that ends the Mountain Unveiled Jianghu Legacy quest.

Finishing this quest will also provide access to the secret pathway that leads you to Mohist City in Suixiang.
