Shadowbeak is a rare Dark Pal and its only location in Palworld 1.0 is in one specific zone. It may take some time until you find one due to its low spawn rate but getting this Pal is worth your time with its useful Partner Skill in battle. In this guide, we’ve covered everything you’ll need to know for getting Shadowbeak.

Shadowbeak Location in Palworld 1.0

There is a specific area in Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3 where Shadowbeak appears and can be located at coordinates (668, 634) at the upper right part of the map. The sanctuary is situated off the coast of the northern desert island, making it the only place where Shadowbeak appears naturally.

However, unlike other Pals that appear in the same place all the time, Shadowbeak could be found flying throughout the sanctuary. Since it is a rare spawn, you may not encounter one immediately after arriving. If you keep searching through the area, you may find it eventually, as the Pal spawns change within time.

How to Reach Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3

Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3 does not have a fast travel point, but there are a few waypoints along the shore that can be utilized for travel. It is true that players can use a Water Pal to reach the sanctuary, however, it is not advisable to do so.

Instead, using a flying Pal like Jetragon to traverse the sanctuary while looking for Shadowbeak is helpful as it will help you escape easily should you attract any of the sentinel robots that patrol the area. Additionally, you can also use Dragon-type pals like Quivern or Xenogard to counter it.

Tips for Catching Shadowbeak

Since Shadowbeak appears at a high level, bringing top-quality Pal Spheres can increase the chances of successfully capturing it. A Ring of Mercy may also be helpful since it allows the player to decrease Shadowbeak’s health without having to worry about defeating it.

In case you have Wispaw available, you can make use of it during the encounter. Using Pal Spheres while Wispaw is active can even enhance the power of Back Bonuses, making capturing Shadowbeak easier. Upon defeat, Shadowbeak drops Innovative Technical Manual, Large Pal Soul, Carbon Fiber, and Plasteel.

Shadowbeak Partner Skill

Shadowbeak comes equipped with its Partner Skill, Modified DNA, which enhances the Dark damage Shadowbeak inflicts while you’re riding it. At first, the ability increases Dark damage by 15%, but the value can go up to 100% maximally with condensing Shadowbeak.

Though ideal in battle, Shadowbeak does not provide much in terms of usefulness around the base. Its Work Suitability is Level 2 Gathering, meaning it performs much better as a companion than a worker.

How to Breed Shadowbeak

If both the male and female Shadowbeak are obtained, the breeding of new Shadowbeaks can occur at a Breeding Farm. The pair should be placed in the farm, along with the Cakes given to them to eventually produce an egg.

This egg can be hatched in an Egg Incubator, leading to the birth of a new Shadowbeak. If the Ancient Hatchery is available, the entire process of breeding and hatching eggs may be done automatically.
