The newest addition to Genesis Ark Survival Ascended DLC features the Ship Skill system. The skill tree has many passive benefits as well as powerful active skills. However, it can be a little confusing initially, but it’s fairly straightforward once you understand how it works. Here is more information on how the ship’s skills work including its capabilities and how to unlock them.
How to Unlock All Ship Skills

Access your inventory and find the Skill Trees section at the top of it. You will notice Tides of Fortune. With the completion of Milestones you will gain skill points that will allow you to unlock skills.
To be able to utilize the ship’s skill system follow these steps. First, ensure you have a ship. Build the Shipyard and then assemble a ship in the Shipyard.
Ship skills can only be managed while you’re on your ship. Press E to open the interaction interface and access Ship Skills. You can spend your earned points to upgrade skill rows, and completing an entire row unlocks a new active ability.
Attack Dinghies

Attack Dinghies summons two smaller boats armed with cannons. You can board one of the rafts and use it. To fire the cannon, use your left mouse button because it has the ability to cause about 1,000 damage points in each shot.
Harvesting Lines

Harvesting Lines gives you the opportunity to use a grappling-style hook harvesting tool instead of cannon balls for two minutes. With this device, your ship will produce harvesting lines instead of cannonballs. With Harvesting Lines, players will be able to obtain resources that would otherwise be dangerous and hard to retrieve.
Crew Damage Buff

The positive aspect of having this special weapon is that the allied survivors on your ship can deal 25% more damage for around 300 seconds. Allies also recharge their stamina when this effect becomes active during a fight. The creator has reportedly mentioned that the cooldown for activating this ability is quite high.
Smoke Screen

Smoke Screen envelops your vessel in smoke. The Smoke Screen was designed to confuse enemy vessels so that their pursuers would fail to follow your ship’s trail. Though the creator has noted that the smoke would take some time to completely mask all indications of your vessel’s presence.
Speed Boost

Once this attribute has been activated, the player’s boat would get its speed enhanced to a maximum of 75% for twenty seconds. In addition to the speed boost, it would greatly enhance the ability of the ship’s ramming damage, allowing your vessel to travel across the map much faster while the effect lasts.
Sea Mines

Sea Mines use a floating bomb behind your vessel. The bomb can be destroyed by some impact damage through punching it. The demonstration showed that it produced a relatively large explosion.
Ghost Angler

Ghost Angler creates a Level 105 Ghost Angler behind your boat. This ability gives players unlimited oxygen while they are in the water. During the testing it has been found that players can attack other players while they are in the water using Ghost Angler, but they cannot access their inventories while doing so.
Chum the Water

Chum the Water allows you to use Kibble to attract creatures. You can choose between different Kibble types, including Basic Kibble and Extraordinary Kibble, with the selected Kibble appearing to affect creature level. However, the ability repeatedly failed during testing due to a summon error, so its functionality could not be fully demonstrated.
Ship Repair

Ship Repair restores 20% of your ship’s health over approximately 10 seconds. This provides a way to repair your vessel while completing missions or engaging in naval combat.
Deep Sea Lures

Deep Sea Lures attract large fish beneath your ship. According to the demonstration, larger fish can be useful when fishing for loot, making this ability potentially valuable for players looking to improve their fishing rewards.
Line Breaker

Line Breaker provides both defensive and offensive benefits. While active, your ship receives reduced damage based on the number of nearby large creatures and ships. It also causes enemy ships to lose 50% of their movement speed and maneuverability after being hit by your ship’s attacks.
