This guide explains how to unlock the Minecrawler Armor in Gothic 1 Remake by starting Wolf’s quest, collecting Minecrawler plates inside the New Mine, and crafting one of the game’s strongest early armors. Follow the steps below to locate the Minecrawlers, gather enough plates, and complete the quest for valuable experience.
How to Start the Quest
To start the quest, you’ll need to go to the New Camp. There, near the entrance, you’ll meet Wolf. Ask him about how you can cut the plates off the bodies of the Minecrawlers and he’ll explain the entire process to you. This will initiate The Minecrawler Armor quest for you.
How to Find Minecrawlers in the New Mine
Next, head over to the marked location in New Mine and help Gorn and his group recover it. Go to the gatehouse in the New Mine with Gorn and use the key Gorn gave you earlier to open the door on the left. Inside, you’ll find a wheel which you’ll need to turn for opening the main gate and continue further inside the mine.
Now, go inside the mine with Gorn beside you and keep to the left. Turn right when you come across a lit torch and some draped clothes, and then turn left again. You’ll eventually reach a bridge which you’ll need to cross but remember, you’ll have to take care of the guards present there.
Now, cross the bridge, and go right. There, you’ll find a ladder which will take you down. Once down, keep going towards the left, and you’ll come across another ladder which will take you further down. This time though, you don’t have to use the ladder to go down directly because the area is filled with Minecrawlers.
Take out your bow and arrow, and start shooting at them. Once you’ve killed the Minecrawlers, go down and collect the plates from their bodies as instructed by Wolf. Once you’ve collected the plates, climb back up using the wall on the right.
Then, start going towards the right and it’ll take you deeper into the mine. You’ll find more Minecrawlers here which you can kill to collect plates and mandibles. Go through the area nicely and kill as many Minecrawlers as you can to collect their plates.
Completing the Quest
Once you’ve collected enough plates, go back to Wolf, and give him the plates to make a Crawler Plate Armor for you. He’ll get right to work and ask you to swing by whenever you’re in the area to get the armor. Doing this will complete the quest and you’ll gain 2000+ Experience.
