Birds are a new type of pet you can get in Crimson Desert, and they’re both useful and fun to have around. Unlike other pets, birds can fly, sit on your shoulder, and even help pick up loot while you explore. Taming them is pretty simple once you know what to do. In this guide, we will tell you how to tame birds and how to unlock the feeder you need to get started.
How to Tame Birds

First, check your inventory. There should be a bird feeder present. The bird feeder is an important component needed for the task. Just select it, place it on the ground anywhere you like, and you’re ready to start. Approach the bird feeder, interact with it, and fill it with food. For this purpose, you may use foods such as raspberries, apples, and barley. A bird will eventually show up and start eating. Each piece of food increases the bird’s trust, and once it reaches 100%, the bird is ready to be tamed.
In case you do not like the bird that appears, you don’t need to worry about it. Just remove the food from the feeder, and the bird will fly away after a few seconds. You can then add some other food to the feeder and attract another bird. There are different kinds of birds, which seem to appear randomly. There seems to be no specific relation between the food and the bird types. So, you can keep experimenting until you find one you like
How to Get the Feeder
In order to feed and tame the birds, you will need to collect an item named the Sotdae of Bond first. In order to get the item, you must complete the entire Trembling Woods quest chain, which is offered by the Pororin Forest Guardians. These characters will be found in Pororin Town, situated in the Southern area of Hernand. Once you finish that quest, you’ll receive the item and can begin taming birds.
