Join Eleanor on a peaceful yet meaningful journey through Azuria in this interesting side quest. As you explore scenic locations and gather rare materials, you’ll uncover more about her past and intentions. This guide will help you quickly find every ingredient and complete “The Proof is in the Dumpling” with ease.
How to Begin the Quest
It all starts at the Catavan Stands in Camp: Sunpetal Plains in Azuria, where Eleanor asks you if you’re willing to show her more of Azuria. This starts “The Proof is in the Dumpling” side quest, where Eleanor tells you that she wants to start by exploring nature in Azuria with your help. Rudy will then suggest starting from the overlook north of the castle.
After you take Eleanor to overlook north of the castle, a small cutscene will play where you both discuss what the encroachment has done to Vermeil. Eleanor then suddenly comes up with the idea to gather some materials, namely: Sucklebugs, Witherweed, and Molted Gumshell, which she believes must be available in Azuria since they were available in Vermeil. Eleanor doesn’t disclose why she needs the particular materials, though; that’s a surprise you’ll find out about after you’ve obtained all the materials.
How to Find the Materials
To make things easier, you’ll need to go to the lookout point and use the telescope there to narrow down your search. Survey the area to find out places rich in materials with the help of Eleanor. Here’s the exact location of all three:
Witherweed
To get Witherweed, head over to the marked location in Azuria, and you’ll find a darker shade of grass growing there. You’ll need to start picking at this location to find Witherweed.
Molted Gumshell
Head over to the marked location, and you’ll find yourself on top of the mountains just opposite the castle, where you can find a Paolumu. Your objective is simple here: use breath attack against the Paolumu, and you’ll be granted the Molten Gumshell.
Sucklebugs
For the Sucklebugs, you’ll need to go to the marked location, which takes you to an area surrounded by water. There, you’ll find some rock formations near a blue chest. Break these rocks, and you’ll easily obtain the Sucklebugs.
Going Back to the Camp
Once you’ve collected all the materials, head back to the camp with Eleanor and Rudy. At the camp, Eleanor will reveal that she intends to cook her signature Vermeilian dumplings with the ingredients you’ve gathered, and with this, the quest will come to an end.
