First, make your way to Wild Island and find Quiet’s Camp, where the mission kicks off. Your goal is to rescue Prof. Lodochka, who has been captured by mercenaries. When you reach Quiet’s Camp, head straight into the building where Prof. Lodochka is being held on the first floor, saving you from a lengthy search. Mercenaries are patrolling the hallway, so decide whether to use stealth or charge in with full force, depending on your approach. After taking down the enemies, interacting with Lodochka, he will share vital information about Noontide and guide you to a nearby shelter where you can track the Monolith signal source.
Find the Source of the Signal inside
After talking to Prof. Lodochka, your next objective is to head north toward the marked location near the river, where a mining cave holds the source of the signal. Inside the cave, follow the path until you reach railway tracks, then turn right. Be cautious as anomalies will appear along the way. To navigate safely, move slowly, use your detector, or throw bolts to spot and avoid any hidden dangers.
Keep moving through the cave, squeezing through narrow gaps until you reach a room filled with mechanical equipment. In the center of the room is the Emitter, so beware of the Psi-damage it emits. Act fast: grab the Emitter and get out quickly to avoid serious harm. Successfully retrieving it completes the “Just Like the Good Old Days” mission and unlocks the next quest, “An Invisible Threat.”
