In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the Old Church puzzle presents a challenging mix of strategy and danger as you work to disable Psi-beacons in the Swamps. Once you reach Camp Icarus and talk to Captain Senkevych, he will explain that Psi-beacons are causing interference, which makes it impossible for him to scan for a traitor. Now, you need to choose your objective: either destroy the Psi-beacons as Senkevych asks, or you can gather data from them for Dr. Kryvenko, who is also at Camp Icarus. This article will discuss how to disable Psi-beacons in the Old Church in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
How to Reach the Psi-beacons
Disabling Psi-beacons in the Old Church is a part of the Ad Astra Per Aspera Main Mission. To do that, reach the Old Church located in the Swamps Region (the location of the old church is marked on the map above). Once you enter the old church, turn to your left, and you will find a few scratches on the floor. Next to the scratches, you will find wooden planks. Take out your knife, shatter the planks, and jump down.
Now, walk straight, and you will find a broken wall; take a right turn, and you will find barrels. Now jump up on the barrels. From the barrels, make a jump towards the stairs, as shown in the image above. Now, climb the stairs to reach the top of the church. Here, you will find the broken roof. You need to climb the broken roof to reach the room with Psi-beacons at the top of the church.
Disable Psi-beacons in the Swamps
Here you need to be cautious, as being near an active Psi-beacon will cause mental damage, triggering hallucinations and summoning dangerous enemies. Now you can either shoot the beacon to disable it or you can interact with it directly. Once it is disabled, be sure to collect any fragments left behind before you leave the area. You can either retrace your steps or explore a broken tunnel system behind a locked door for extra loot. Once you have completed your objectives, head back to Camp Icarus to report your findings and finish the Old Church quest.
