The map for Terminus in Black Ops 6 is filled with secrets, and there are many yet to be found as the players search around this prison island for cold and treacherous water. With many chests hidden below the surface, some players may wish that they had a diving suit for a steady supply of oxygen and not to risk drowning. Fortunately, the players are actually able to find an oxygen tank, and it’s quite easy to do. There is a secret location in every game where you are able to grab this tank that allows you to breathe underwater in Terminus for over a minute, making it easier to explore the depths.
Hidden Oxygen Tank in Terminus Island
On Terminus island, you can discover a variety of rewards hidden underwater, including important equipment upgrades and exclusive chests. However, the risk of drowning can interrupt your explorations, especially when you’re going deep into the dark waters to uncover the map’s secrets. Fortunately, there’s a hidden oxygen tank that, once you find it, lets you breathe underwater for longer, allowing you to explore without the constant worry of needing to surface.
How to Breathe Underwater for Longer on Terminus
Before you get into the water, make sure you have a throwable lethal item, such as a standard Frag grenade. The oxygen tank easter egg requires using throwable gear underwater, so the Frag is a perfect fit for this mission. To start the easter egg, first activate the power on Terminus. Go to the Bio Lab and turn on all the AMP Generators. Once they’re up and running, you’ll gain access to hidden areas and equipment that rely on power throughout the map.
With the power on, get into the water in the Bio Lab and swim to the spot where you first activated the Pack-a-Punch. You’ll notice a rock that has a faint glow, which indicates it’s your target. Throw a grenade at the rock to blast it away, and you’ll uncover the oxygen canister underneath. When you interact with the canister, your oxygen meter will refill, letting you stay underwater for up to 80 seconds without needing to surface for air.
The oxygen tank is a big help for players exploring underwater, but there’s still a danger; the tentacle spawn. This hostile hazard can activate a gas attack that will instantly kill you if you’re too deep. Be careful, as the tentacle will keep appearing as long as you’re underwater and won’t go away until the round advances. To stay safe, try to manage your time underwater and make quick trips to the surface to avoid being caught off guard.
