Players can create their own Space Marine character in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. When they do this, they must choose the best weapons and equipment for their character. This is because they will be fighting against dangerous Tyranid creatures.
The game only has three secondary weapons available for selection at this time. However, more will be added in future updates. Every gun, of course, has its pros and cons. Players may prefer specific secondary weapons depending on their character class and playstyle.
The best secondary weapon in Space Marine 2 should be effective at close and long distances. It should also be powerful and fun to use against enemies like Chaos and Tyranids. Although secondary weapons have limited ammo, they are still helpful for Ultramarines because they are accurate and robust.

Rate of Fire | 3 |
Reloading Speed | 8+ |
Piercing | 2 |

Magazine Capacity | 8 |
Ammo Reserve | 80 |
The Heavy Bolt Pistol is a good choice for players who want a more accurate weapon. It can be used at a good distance, even though it is only held in one hand. It also reloads quickly for a weapon that fires slowly. The Heavy Bolt Pistol has a strong recoil, which can be useful for pushing back small Tyranid creatures that try to attack Ultramarines.
The only real thing that pulls the Heavy Bolt Pistol back is the magazine capacity and ammo reserves since players are going to need to reload every 8 shots, and they have only 80 bullets, which is a whopping 40 less than the standard Bolt Pistol. It’s great for chipping away at enemies during melee combat, but it’s not going to replace the primary weapon anytime soon.

The Bolt Pistol is the most common secondary weapon in Space Marine 2. However, this does not mean that it is a bad weapon. In fact, it is a very powerful and iconic weapon that is respected by Ultramarines. The Bolt Pistol has a large amount of ammo, which can be used to fight against Chaos and Tyranid enemies.
The Bolt Pistol contains a great amount of ammunition, so players can use it in various situations: as a good backup weapon when a melee weapon is to be ineffective or in the case of malfunction of the main one. Though this Bolt Pistol is not the most powerful weapon, it has pretty good rates of fire, speed of reload, and ammunition count. This means players can keep their enemies at a distance without needing a weapon that would kill them in one shot.
Plasma Pistol
Firepower | 3+ |
Accuracy | 5+ |
Rate of Fire | 3+ |
Venting Speed | 4 |
Range | 7 |
Magazine Capacity | 90 |
The Plasma Pistol is a riskier pistol to use because it has less ammunition and functions in a different manner from the other Bolt Pistols. It can be one of the most potent, if it is used in proper manner. The Plasma Pistol can be charged up to fire 10 shots in one go that can kill some of the most robust enemies in the game. If the Plasma Pistol is charged, it has a wider area of effect. This makes it more useful against large groups of enemies.
The Plasma Pistol has a limited amount of ammo, and it takes time to cool down after firing. However, it has a good range, is very powerful, and fires quickly. This makes it effective against small and weak enemies.
