Released recently on August 9, 2024, 2XKO is the new 2v2 team-based fighting game with League of Legends Champions. According to reports, players can use the controller in the menu but when they get into the game, they cannot control anything. Well, the Controller is not working is one of the common problems in most online games including 2XKO. Thankfully, there are several workarounds you can try to get it fixed.
How to Fix 2XKO Controller Not Working
Before you start the following troubleshooting steps, make sure to check the basics. Make sure that your controller is properly connected to your device. If it is well-connected, your controller might not work. On the other hand, if it is already connected properly, then try other below workarounds.
1. Turning Off Steam
Some players suggest turning off Steam and it will help to resolve the issue. If Steam is running in the background, it might interfere with the function of your controller. So, simply turn off Steam and check if that worked to fix the problem.
2. Updating Drivers
Outdated drivers of your controller can also create this issue. So, make sure your controller’s drivers are updated to the latest version.
3. Correcting Gamepad Settings
When you plug in a gamepad for the first time on your computer, the default button settings might not be correct. In that situation, follow these steps:
– Go to the game’s Settings using your mouse.
– Then, click on “Controller Mappings”.
– Next, select Pad B and your regular gamepad settings will be restored.
4. Restart and Big Picture Mode Setup
If you are still experiencing the same issue, try this method that works for some players.
– First of all, restart your PC, then open up Steam.
– Go to the Steam Library and add the game as a non-Steam game by linking the shortcut.
– Now, launch the game through Steam’s Big Picture mode.
– After launching the game, you will see that your controller is still not working. Now, go to the control settings >> Option >> Manually edit the button mapping to your preference.
– Well, even after these settings, the R2 and L2 buttons might not work. The root cause is not clear but other buttons should work fine.
5. Disabling Direct X and Enabling Raw Input
The next workaround includes disabling Direct X, enabling Raw Input, and binding the controller buttons to Custom. If you have no idea how to do it, follow these steps:
– Go to the Display Settings on your PC.
– Then, click on the “Display 1” tab.
– Scroll down, come to DirectX Features, and click on “Disable” next to Direct3D Acceleration.
– Once done, click on “Exit”.
Now, enable Raw Input by following these steps:
– Launch the game and go to the Settings menu by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
– In the Settings, click on the General tab and scroll down to the Mouse section.
– Look for the Raw Input option and turn it ON.
6. Disabling Raw Input and Enabling X-Input
If the above method also doesn’t work, try disabling Raw Input and enabling X-input by following these steps:
– Launch the game and go to the Settings menu by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
– In the Settings, click on the General tab and scroll down to the Mouse section.
– Look for the Raw Input option and turn it OFF.
– Once done, now enable X-input and your controller will start running fine.
7. Closing Background Program
Sometimes, other programs running in the background can also prevent the controller from functioning well. So, try closing all such programs running in the background like Afterburner, MSI Dragon Center, Hwinfo, Razer Synapse, etc., and check if this trick worked.
8. Setting FPS to 60
In this workaround, try capping FPS to 60. This simple trick has worked for some players so it might work for you too.
9. Reaching Out Support Team
If none of these methods work, try reaching out to the game’s support team for further assistance.
That’s all for this guide on how to fix the 2XKO controller not working issue.
