You will encounter Rellana towards the end of your exploration of Castle Ensis. You will find Castle Ensis north to northeast of Three Path Cross site of grace. This is a Minor Legacy Dungeon found in Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. From there, activate the Castle Lord’s Chamber site of grace to get closer to the boss’s chamber. While Rellana might look intimidating at first, her fight is pretty simple. Like most bosses, her fight has two stages
Stage 1
- You can summon other players and Spirit Ashes to help you with this fight
- Rellana wields twinblades and will slash and swing at you if you get too close
- She will also launch several elemental sword projectiles at you to cover the distance.
- Her attacks are a mix of melee and ranged, so you have to time your attacks perfectly
- Shields can work to protect you from ranged damage as you try to get close to her.
- She is extremely agile and quick on her feet, so you might get hit if you don’t pay attention to her movement
- Luckily, this boss can be easily staggered if you use heavy attacks, so for now you should focus on landing as many heavy attacks and stagger her to lower her health
Stage 2
- Once her health is below 50%, her swords will be infused with fire and elemental powers
- She will start using several AoE attacks that will inflict fire and magic damage.
- Her fire AoE will create a blast and surround the arena in flames
- Her magic attack creates few magical bubbles that will deal huge AoE damage on impact
- She will also summon several homing sword projectiles that will track you and hit you
- It is best to run as far away as you can from her and keep out of range when you see the above attacks
- She does become faster and can close the distance between you
- Later on she can summon a huge magical greatsword that will land hit after hit no matter where you are
- Again, try to stagger her as much as possible and land enough hits to end her
