The easiest way to get ammo is by visiting weapon stores across Night City and purchasing the required ammo from them. The earliest weapon store you will encounter is the Amendment store near your apartment. You can scroll down their store menu to find the right ammo and get it. The next way you can get ammo is by scavenging and looting it off dead bodies. Most enemies will have some ammo that will drop after you kill them, and sometimes you will find crates that can give you ammo too.
Finally, you can get ammo from crafting them. If you have the required components, you can quickly craft a round or two of ammo. You can go to the crafting menu and scroll down to check all ammo types and select the ones you want to craft.
