Automaton Charm Oils is dropped from Automaton enemies, namely the Bishop Automaton. To find them, you should have the Desert Biome Card and the Astrolabe, Provisioner, Herbarium, Gloom, or Hunt Major Realm Cards. Once you set them together in the machine, you can check the right side menu to see a list of all available enemies within the realm. If the Automaton Bishop is listed, then head right in. Luckily, you won’t have to venture too far to find them, as they can be spotted close to your spawn point. Look for automaton enemies that have a cloth hanging in front of it, and it might also teleport and summon Automaton Pawns in battle. Don’t confuse them for Automaton Knights, as those won’t drop the oil.

There are two ways to get the Automaton Charm Oil. The first method is to fight it and get it as a drop. The second method is to make an offering. Automaton Bishop is not aggressive unless provoked, so go up to it and hand over a Ritual Seed Nursery. Place it inside the blue box and collect the Oil. If you don’t see a blue box appear when you go close to the Bishop, then you need to first complete Victor Frankenstein’s questline.
