WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers – Panda Location

There are a number of items in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers that serve functional and story-based purposes. One is the usage of Bamboo Shoot as an in-game currency with limited availability that one can trade for powerful weapons and spells. These items belong to a magical side quest that requires a non-hostile Panda found at the very end of the forest.

Here’s the scoop on where to find Bamboo Shoots and where the mysterious Panda who trades valuable gear for them can be found.

How to Find Bamboo Shoots

Bamboo Shoots are not your typical loot you’re accustomed to—these items are relatively rare and related to elusive forest creatures. Around the globe, you may find a strange Bamboo creature. This enemy will not attack you; instead, it will flee in the opposite direction when it detects your approach. If you fail to capture and defeat it promptly, it will burrow underground and vanish from sight.

Fortunately, this monster is not lost to us eternally. You can reset its location by sleeping at any Worship’s Rise Shrine, which resets enemy spawns throughout the map. Return to the spot, rush, and you will get another chance to slay it. Assumingly, if you succeed in doing so, it will drop a Bamboo Shoot.

Other than beating the Bamboo enemy, you can obtain one surefire Bamboo Shoot by speaking with a specific NPC near the cave of the Panda.

Where to Find the Panda

To get to the Panda, you’ll need to journey through a section referred to as the Narrow Stretch. This section of the forest is opened up after a door deeper into the woods is unlocked with the use of the Lightzen Key. Once you’ve passed through this area, you’ll find yourself at the division in the road where an NPC welcomes you and gives you the Bone Whistle—a key item in itself.

Follow the path to the right from that split and continue forward. You’ll soon encounter a second Bamboo enemy. Dispose of it if you’d like a second chance at a Bamboo Shoot, then turn left to find a cave entrance up ahead. You’ll be there when you start hearing the voice of an NPC even before you enter.

Inside the cave, you will find the NPC that rewards you with a free Bamboo Shoot. Directly above the mini stairs at his rear is the Panda, sleeping peacefully. When you converse with the Panda, you have access to a mini shop with beneficial wares for sale in exchange for Bamboo Shoots.

What You Can Purchase from the Panda

  • Steampowered Spear – An expert weapon that only costs 1 Bamboo Shoot.
  • Divine Ward – A powerful spell that uses 3 Bamboo Shoots.

These are well worth farming for Bamboo Shoots, especially if you are looking to get the most out of your build or try something new.

Uncovering the Panda and using Bamboo Shoots is a rewarding side quest that adds to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers’ somber, atmospheric environment. It’s a great illustration of how exploration and curiosity are often rewarded with powerful tools and more lore.
