After activating the Reverent Temple Shrine at the beginning of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, players will enter an area where they will have their first encounter with the Boatman. There is a gate on the left side of that area, and interacting with that gate reveals that it can only be opened with the help of the Reverent Temple Key. Where Reverent Temple Key of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is found isn’t clarified, though, and this walkthrough will give players an idea of how they can find it.
Where to Find Reverent Temple Key in Wuchang Fallen Feathers

In order to obtain the Reverend Temple Key, one must kill Commander – Honglan, the final obligatory boss of Worship’s Rise. Yes, the key will be in players’ inventories as soon as they kill that enemy, and players will be able to use the key to open the gate near the Reverent Temple immediately afterwards.
Honglan also gives Wei – Combo Force, a Benediction that causes next attacks to cause more damage.
For where and how to begin the battle with Honglan, the first challenge is entering the Tang Emperor’s Palace, which is the last area of Worship’s Rise and is situated just past the Corpse Pit. As noted earlier, players will be in this area as they are completing the main quest, and they should perform the following to find and unlock the Palace Hill Shrine when arriving:
- Go up the stairs in front, go through the break in the wall, and head to the back-left corner of the little bridges room.
- Go up the wood ramp to a roof, and come down using the ladder at the opposite side.
- At the ground, move forward and climb a bit of a ladder.
- Head forward, take the right stairs, and head down the path to go through a building in which there is the Tang Palace Maid.
- Go through the building, climb the left ladder onto a rooftop.
- Head right at the top, and head down the path to collide with the Palace Hill Shrine.
When triggering the Palace Hill Shrine, players would have to search the left part of the location for a Buddha Statue. Inserting that object into an appliance in the area on the right of the Palace Hill Shrine will empty the pond in the middle of the Tang Emperor’s Place, and drowning in the pond will start the fight against Honglan.
Where to Use Reverent Temple Key in Wuchang Fallen Feathers

Even though it will generally be expected that a vast majority of readers will know where to use the Reverent Temple Key once they have gotten it, a little something about the topic may be of assistance to some players. Briefly, players will find the key usable by going to the Reverent Temple Shrine, descending the stairs, and talking to the gate on the left side of the open area at the bottom.
Players should find that they are automatically teleported back to the Reverent Temple after they beat Honglan. However, players can always use Wuchang: Fallen Feathers’ teleportation system to quickly teleport back to it from any other Shrine.
