When wandering the regions around Shu Sanctum in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, there is a chance that players can come across a high rock formation with statues surrounding it. One of the statues is indicated by a blue glow effect, and players who approach it will be asked to “look to the horizon to reunite with faces of the past.” The method for doing that action won’t be clear, however, and this guide is here to help Wuchang: Fallen Feathers players who are stumped about what to do.

For players who wish to minimize spoilers, it will suffice to know that items that bear the above blue glowing effect are usually responded to with a pose. Particularly, players might have encountered another item bearing this designation close to Shu Sanctum that commands to “pay your respects before the God of Shu’s statue to reunite with faces of the past.”

How to Look to the Horizon to Reunite with Faces of the Past in Wuchang Fallen Feathers

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers players who are trying to look to the horizon in order to be reunited with the faces of the past need to start by standing beside the statue that gives that directive. As there is some variability to the position the player has to take, it is best that they stand with the statue to their immediate left and facing to the horizon.

Once in place, characters can then open up the pose menu and choose the Gaze pose. As seen, this pose will already be listed as an option for one of the slots on the pose menu, and following is how that menu is opened on different platforms:

  • PC: Press Y.
  • PlayStation: Press the touch pad.
  • Xbox: Press the view button.

If the Gaze pose is not yet set, select a slot, click on the “Replace” input which is shown below the poses, and choose Gaze from the appearing poses.

Look to the Horizon to Reunite with Faces of the Past Reward – Wuchang Fallen Feathers

Following a use of the Gaze pose to gaze over the horizon to be reunited with the faces of the past, players will find they have been awarded 1x Candied Haws. This is a consumable item which doubles Stamina recovery speed and maximum health for a limited time, and players might find it beneficial in battling a tough boss in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Nevertheless, the item can only be used by players once, and players are certainly not required to pick it up.

Most of the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers pose-oriented objects and NPC missions reward similar kinds of consumable items. Although these items are pleasant to have, players should not be overly concerned if they miss a few.
