Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most awaited RPGs of the year and is the latest installment in the Baldur’s Gate Series. If you have been grinding through the game, you probably have noticed that while creating your main character in the beginning, you have to create another character that won’t be in your control later. That’s the Guardian Character. If you are curious about the Guardian and want to know how it works in Baldur’s Gate 3, this guide will help you with it.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Guardian Explained- Who is It?
Baldur’s Gate 3 require players two create two characters at the beginning of the game. One is their main character, and the other one is the Guardian Character. No matter which class you choose, you have to create your Guardian Character. However, once created, the Guardian Character won’t become your teammate. Instead, it will go out of your control. This is a non-playable character in the game; players can’t even see this character all the time. However, this character will always be there.
Though you create and customize this character, you can’t meet them in real life again. The first time, you meet the Guardian in your dreams, and after that, you can use the Parasite’s Ilithid abilities and perform a long rest at your camp to meet the Guardian. Irrespective of their appearance, the Guardian character won’t act against you. It will give you advice, but listening to them is entirely your choice. For example, they will ask you not to remove Mind Flayer’s parasite from your brain, but what you want to do depends on your preferences.
The Guardian is a mysterious NPC who will always be on your side, but using too much of Parasite’s Ilithid abilities to meet the Guardian can ruin your relationship with your teammates. You can’t physically interact with them; the interaction will be entirely in dreams. However, Guardians cannot harm you or betray you. But whether you trust them or not is upon you.
That’s all you need to know about the Guardian character in Baldur’s Gate 3. Don’t worry about this character; it will always be with you, even if you can’t see it outside your dreams.
