There are a wide variety of fish in Monster Hunter Rise and if you are lucky, you can find a bunch in a single hole or pond, but it’s likely that the fish you are looking for is not present in the fishing shot you are dipping your pole in.
Fortunately, it’s easy to tell the type of fish present in a spot by just looking. One of the fish that’s proven difficult to find is the Scatterfish. These fish are important as they are an ingredient required for crafting Mega Barrel Bombs. Here is how to find and farm Scatterfish in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR).
Monster Hunter Rise – Where to Find and Farm Scatterfish
Fortunately, you don’t have to travel far or unlock the High-Level maps in order to find the Scatterfish. They can be found in the Shrine Ruins. So, to farm Scatterfish in Monster Hunter Rise, go on an expedition on the Shrine Ruins map and head to the water body in Area 6 and 13. Search the area and you will find fishes in a location, it’s hard to miss. The fish you are looking for has red-eye and the body is a combination of Red and Black.
Once you know the fish, pull out the pole and start fishing. It does not matter if you don’t catch the Scatterfish in the first go, just keep trying until you get it. The fishes also respawn, so you can always return to the area to farm more of them.
Trading with the Argosy is another way to get the fish, but that can take a while and there is the RNG factor. So, the best way to catch Scatterfish is to farm the Shrine Ruins map.
