If you don’t have a pawn that knows Woodland Wordsmith, then try to recruit one at the Riftstone. This will help understand what the Elves are trying to say. When you speak to Doireann after getting this particular pawn, you will realize that another word for Gwyfencha is Scalecinder. This item is extremely rare, and there is only one way to get it. To get Scalecinder or Gwyfencha, you have to complete the Spring in Thy Step quest. You would have unlocked this as part of the Magick Archer Vocation unlocking process. You need to locate a dwarf called Guatstafr and complete the quest by finding three plants and taking him home first, then to a hot spring.
Once you complete the quest, talk to Guatstafr at his home called Windwalker’s Home to know more about the Gwyfencha. You will be guided to the location of a dwarf blacksmith in Bakbattahl. He is the only one who can help get Scalecinder. The store you need to locate is Brokkr’s Smithy, but his assistant will inform you that they will give you the Scalecinder for something in return. Go back to Sacred Arbor for now and talk to Doireann to complete the Ailing Arborheart quest
