Like previous Black Ops games, Black Ops 6 offers a multiplayer component along with the cooperative round-based Zombies mode. At launch, multiplayer includes sixteen brand-new maps and brings back familiar features from earlier Call of Duty titles, such as the Prestige levelling system. The Zombies mode introduces two new maps that pick up the story where it left off in the Black Ops Cold War. In all three modes, players can utilize omnidirectional movement mechanics, enabling them to sprint, dive, and slide in any direction. In Zombies Mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (BO6), the rarity of a weapon affects the bonus damage it can deal. Below are the weapon rarity effects in Black Ops 6 (BO6).
Weapon Rarity Effects in Black Ops 6
Each weapon’s rarity is shown by a coloured background behind the ammo and a diamond icon. The rarer the weapon, the more bonus damage effects it provides, which are crucial for defeating enemies as you progress through tougher rounds. In Zombies Mode, there are six different rarity types to discover: common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, and wonder. The below table shows the different rarity, effects, colours and salvage required:
Colour | Rarity | Effect | Salvage Required |
White | Common | No Effect | No Salvage Required |
Green | Uncommon | 50% Bonus Damage | 500 |
Blue | Rare | 100% Bonus Damage | 1500 |
Purple | Epic | 200% Bonus Damage | 4000 |
Orange | Legendary | 300% Bonus Damage | 9000 |
Yellow | Wonder | No Effect | No Salvage Required |
Complete S.A.M. Trials in Black Ops 6
S.A.M. Trials unlock halfway through each match. You’ll be tasked with mini-challenges, and if you succeed, you can earn an Aether Tool as a reward. This tool can then be used to upgrade the rarity of your weapons. S.A.M. Trial challenges will pop up at random during the match, usually around Round 8 or 10. Keep an eye out for them during these rounds, as you’ll receive a notification about their arrival and details on where to find them.
Wall-Buy Weapons in Black Ops 6
Across the island, you’ll find chalk outlines of weapons on walls and boards, each glowing in a colour that indicates its rarity: green for Uncommon, blue for Rare, purple for Epic, and orange for Legendary. As you progress through rounds, the rarity of Wall Buys increases. Wall Buys offer several benefits;
- They let you get a different weapon type if your current loadout isn’t cutting it or if you want a second Primary weapon.
- The wall buy weapon already has a rarity value, making it more powerful.
- If you’ve created a Zombie Build, the weapon will be a rarified version of your customized Weapon or Blueprint, complete with your chosen Attachments and Cosmetics.
