One of the missions you will get is the Black Mous’ Weapons Research mission, where you have to kill enemies in a target location and extract an enemy weapon. In this guide, we will see how to complete the Weapons Research mission in Warzone 2.0’s DMZ.

You can pick up a hunt contract by pulling up the Tac map and looking around for a green cellphone icon with a skull on it. Select any one of the hunt contracts to start the mission. Follow the marker to pick up the contract, then follow the guideline to reach the target area.
Eliminate the enemy operators within the target location to complete the quest. If you don’t want to confront them, you can just wait for them to die with the help of bots or other players. If you are hunting a squad and you notice them still moving after being down, it means that there is a remaining member who is alive someplace else. You have to eliminate all members of the group before you can move on to the next objective.
Once all the players in the contract are hunted down, now all that is left is to extract the weapon from an enemy operator. Just head over to any of the dead players and pick up their contraband or custom-class weapon. You cannot pick up any looted weapon, and it has to be contraband or a custom weapon to complete the mission. After that, you will receive 5,000+ XP and a No Leadership Calling Card as a reward.

This is bugged. i exfiled lots of weapons from enemy contractors and it never counted.
Since the author didn’t tell you guys…
This mission is bugged for an unconfirmed but slightly significant portion of the playerbase. (TFW you write but you don’t play, lul).
Thanks for pointing it out, we will check on the bug
Yes this contract is bugged, I have extracted with multiple enemy operator weapons. Some have even had battle pass blueprints as well as some with golden and platinum skins which confirms they are custom weapons. I have killed over 100 operators trying to get this contract done but it’s never worked.
Contract is bugged.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention
