Heavy Class Overview Space Marine 2

The Heavy Class is unique as it doesn’t have a melee weapon slot. Your focus here with this build is enhancing its ranged attacks and adding perks that will increase its damage and range. But you do get a large supply of primary and secondary weapons to pick from. Besides that, the Heavy class offers its Class Skill; Iron Halo. With this skill active, all ranged damage will be blocked by a powerful barrier. Hence why this class is considered a tanky defensive class with high armor class

  • Armor Class: 3
  • Class Perk: Iron Halo
  • Iron Halo Description: Powerful barrier blocks all Ranged Damage.

Best Heavy Class Weapons

Since the Heavy class is limited to only using a primary and secondary weapon, you might have to compromise a bit on close melee combat. Hence why you should pick the following weapons to make up for the power lost from a melee weapon

  • Primary Weapon: Ophelian Liberation – Alpha
  • Optional Primary Weapon: Ophelian Liberation – Beta
  • Best Beginner Heavy Class Weapon: Multi-Melta
  • Secondary Weapon: Gathalamor Crusade Plasma Pistol

The reason why we went with the Ophelian Liberation – Alpha as the choice of primary weapon is for the simple fact that the Alpha has faster reloading speed, higher ammo reserve and increased magazine capacity. But it does lack a bit of firepower, which we will make up for in perks.

While just starting off with the Heavy class, you can go for the Multi Melta in early game with the Multi Kill core class perk. This will give you 1 ammo restoration if you manage to kill 5 or more enemies with one shot from the Multi Melta

As for the secondary weapon, the Plasma Pistol is a well rounded secondary weapon that you can pull out while in a pinch. But if your primary weapon is stable enough, then you won’t be reaching out for this one very frequently.

Best Ophelian Liberation – Alpha Perks

  • Adamant Restoration: Ammo Reserve gets restored by 25% of max capacity when HP drops below 30%. Will not exceed max Ammo capacity. 30 seconds cooldown
  • Discipline: Get 25% damage increase when you have Low Ammo
  • Fast Venting: Weapons cooling speed increases 15%
  • Heavy Immunity: No loss in control from Heavy Hits while using Heavy Stance

  • Increased Capacity: The maximum Ammo Reserve is increased by 20%
  • Perfect Cooling: The equipped Weapon gets cooled after a perfectly timed dodge
  • Perpetual Cooling: Weapon Heating gets decreased by 10%

The main focus of these perks is in utilizing the Heavy class’s Heavy Stance. You can gain increased damage from performing this move. Also, we have utilized perks that help restore ammo and also increase damage from the Ophelian Liberation. You don’t need to worry much about the cooldown of your weapon as long as you perfect your dodging
