In Throne and Liberty, Morphs and Shapeshifting are unique abilities that allow your character to transform and unlock different effects. Morphs mainly help you navigate the environment, while Shapeshifting lets you become certain creatures you encounter in the open world. You’ll use these features in various situations during your MMO journey, and the guide below covers everything you need to know about Morphs & Shapeshifting.
Understanding Shapeshifting in Throne and Liberty
Shapeshifting in Throne and Liberty is all about altering your appearance. You’ll find a Special option to the right of Morph that lets you transform into any creature whose form you’ve unlocked.
As you progress through the story, you’ll gain access to new Shapeshift forms. Once you’ve assigned a form, you can change your appearance, and while shapeshifted, your name will appear differently. NPCs of the same species won’t attack you during this time. Just remember, if you attack or interact with anything, your shapeshift will be cancelled.
Types of Morph in Throne and Liberty
Morphs in Throne and Liberty will make characters move faster and help them better navigate their environment. Players get access to a variety of attributes and are most likely to move faster by opening up and unlocking each type of Morph in the RPG. There are other Morph types mostly for the sake of specific advantages in certain situations. Here are some of the Morph types you’ll come across in Throne and Liberty:
1. Dash Morphs
During motion, you will be able to employ your equipped Dash Morph with the Shift button on your keyboard or the left stick on your controller; this Morph allows the player to sprint fast on the ground. You would be transforming into an animal like a wolf and using the W, A, S, and D keys to quickly move around the map. Just remember that using this power costs stamina, so your character will be tired when he uses up the stamina. To return to your normal self, you just need to press the Dash Morph button.
2. Glide Morph
Activation of your Glide Morph can be done by jumping off a high position and then pressing the Spacebar button on your keyboard or the X or A button on your controller. This transforms your character into the Glide Morph, in which you can move faster while airborne. It also consumes stamina; however, the Morph can be cancelled anytime by your pressing the jump button again.
3. Swim Morph
Swimming is a useful way to enter the morph, and you can do it by clicking the Jump button of your keyboard; you will then transform into the equipped Aquatic Morphs, which can dash or jump above the surface of the water. Some Morphs even make it possible to swim in lava without causing any damage to the player.
Levels and Bonuses
Once you unlock Morphs, you’ll be levelling up all types and getting bonuses. You’ll earn Growth Points, and when you gather them, you’ll unlock milestones as for your Growth Level and the category of that Morph. Here are some of the bonuses you can unlock after reaching level 6 with Dash Morph:
- Dash Morph acceleration rate bonus +24%
- Dash Morph movement speed bonus +5%
- Acceleration durability cost efficiency when sprinting: +15 %
- Dash Morph acceleration rate bonus: +10%
- Dash Morph movement speed bonus: +5%
- Dash Morph acceleration rate bonus: +2 %
It’s worth noting that each class of Morph needs to be levelled up to gain their respective bonus.
