The final mission of The Edge of Fate, “The Message,” confronts you with the Archon himself. Since it’s the final mission for the campaign, the difficulty is doubled with layered mechanics, challenging encounters, and intricate puzzles. Read on for a complete walkthrough to help you through each section and finish the story on a high note.

Completing the Laser Puzzle and Vex Box

The mission begins in a laser-filled corridor. To get through it, you’ll need to first activate Matterspark and use it to zip across to the other side.

  • Once there, destroy the Vex box nearby to spawn a platform.
  • You’ll then have to return to the Relocator and use it to move to a new section.
  • In the next chamber, use Mattermorph to obliterate the blocked way.
  • Other than a first fight against a Wyvern, there is a room where there is a concealed Vex box in the middle.
  • Shatter and expose this box using Mattermorph. Move to the right to open a Relocator; destroy the satellite relay with bullets twice to clear the way ahead. Another Mattermorph form blocks your path—destroy it to expose another Vex box and move on to the boss level.

Boss Fight – Crazed Mind

You will be facing a shielded-up Vex Minotaur here. Go to the ground floor at the beginning of the fight where a Hydra can be found. Killing it will destroy the barrier that guards the Relocator. Once you’ve activated it, retrieve a Vex Cranium, which is crucial for disabling the deadly laser traps scattered across the arena.

While carrying the Mattermorph ability, use it to reveal two hidden Vex boxes at the arena’s entrance. Break them using the Cranium to drop the Minotaur’s shield and begin the first damage phase. When the boss reaches half health, the mechanics reset and you’ll need to repeat the process. Once the shield drops a second time, finish the Minotaur and move on.

Approaching the Singularity

This section introduces another puzzle that combines Matterspark and Mattermorph mechanics. Start by becoming Matterspark and entering a tunnel, where you’ll break a shield to remove a barrier. Inside, interact with a terminal to open the next door. Behind it lies the Mattermorph upgrade, which you’ll use to generate new platforms. After creating a path, switch back into Matterspark to navigate through the tight structure and reach the next zone.

Breaking House Exile’s Lines

Break a Brig and you’ll get a pylon that needs to be loaded up with Matterspark. In the next room, a Relocator to the left will help you get to a second Matterspark pickup. Use it to shoot through a second energy shield and then grab Mattermorph. With either of the transition powers, make the path ahead open up. The final segment of this area is spent walking along a conveyor belt. Time your relocation carefully—when the platform approaches a wall of lasers, use the Relocator to warp through safely.

Fury of the Archon

In the next encounter, you’ll battle waves of House Exile enemies. Begin by eliminating Exiles stationed at the back of the room to drop their shields. To the arena’s left, there is a Matterspark pickup—take it to activate the nearby launcher. Then, charged, switch to Matterspark mode, power-up, and charge full-speed into the boss. On impact, use the Matterspark superability to blast the Archon’s guard off. Keep doing this to punch through deeper into battle, step by step towards the Singularity and campaign finale boss.

Final Boss – Prime Archon Levaszk

The last fight is outside the Exiles’ Ketch. Blow up a nearby pylon and board the ship by teleportation. Matterspark will let you bypass obstacles and inside the ship. You’ll have to blow up a line of shield generators inside. Look for rooms that hold pylons—latent, they will form corridors to the generators so you can blow them up.

After you’ve cleared inside, return outside to battle Levaszk himself.

Once the Archon emerges, the damage phase begins. His health is split into thirds. After each third is depleted, players must once again collect Matterspark, charge up, and launch into Servitors that appear to maintain the shield. Successfully eliminating these support units will reopen the damage window. After bringing down the Archon, you’ll be treated to the final cutscene of The Edge of Fate.
