In Shattered Space, players will go on a quest called “Exhuming the Past.” The quest will be about a powerful group called the House of Va’ruun, who had a big disaster in Dazra. Players will learn secrets by exploring the ruins of Dazra and find out what happened to the House.
Exhuming The Past Mission
Hasmak Dul’kehf says there’s something happening in the Ma’leen Dam, southeast of Darza.
You will need to navigate through the rough terrain to reach Ma’leen Dam. Once there, you will need to speak with a child named Comrak Abbas to gain access. He’ll tell you that you will need a keycard to get in. To get the keycard, you need to speak with Kaviil Fahrzanas. When you get the keycard, then you can get into the dam by using the keycard.
Once inside the dam, explore every part to learn what you can about the situation in Darza.
While exploring the dam, you’ll find a broken part of the power grid called the Vortex Power Modulator. You’ll need to shoot it to fix it. Once it’s fixed, the power will be rerouted, and you’ll need to pump out the water. As you continue exploring, you’ll meet Karija Ma’leen, who will tell you to leave the dam. Don’t listen to her and fight her. After you win, go through the locked door ahead.
How to get Teleportation Experiment Code
To unlock the door in the teleportation experiment, players need to input the code 3-3-5 and then toggle on the button. This will give them a keycard that they need in order to make further progress with the quest. The other way is writing that the Experiment Keycard code is 2-3-5. However, due to low power conditions, players must add an additional 100 to the initial code entered.
After you open the door, you’ll see Karija Ma’leen and Vedrasa Ma’leen. Talk to them to find out more about the phantoms.
Retrieving the remaining vortex interlock
After you talk to them and things go wrong, you’ll need to fight Karija Ma’leen and Vedrasa Ma’leen. Once you win, try to find the first vortex interlock. Next, redirect the power to the console where you’ll find the Ma’leen sisters and Draqir Ma’leen. Defeat them, and then turn off the power by destroying the power grid in the middle of the room.
Rewards
Find the other vortex interlock, defeat Karija Ma’leen one more time, and leave the dam. Then, give the interlock to Ekris to finish the mission. After completing the mission, players will get Exterminator Modified Va’Runn Penumbra and 12,000 Credits. They will also unlock the achievement of ‘Exhuming the Past’.
