The Tarandus the Ashen Armor Set is one of the latest gear sets that came with the Crimson Desert Patch 1.13. Getting this full set entails taking down a particular boss, accomplishing some faction quests, completing several Life and Training Challenges, and at the same time, visiting a specific vendor. This article will explain everything about how you can unlock the armor set easily.
How to Get Tarandus the Ashen’s Armor Set
The Tarandus the Ashen Armor Set has been introduced in Patch 1.13 of Crimson Desert. The name of this five-part set is derived from the name of the boss Tarandus the Ashen; its white-and-golden design consists of plate armor and leather equipment.
Unlike sets gained from a single source, each part of the Tarandus the Ashen armor set requires a specific task to be accomplished. Some of the parts can be earned through completing faction quests, while others are unlocked by achieving Life Challenges or Training Challenges. Each part, when the required task is completed, will be given as a reward or can be bought from the proper dealer. Here are the details of where to acquire each:

The Ashen’s Plate Armor is earned by defeating Tarandus the Ashen during the Ashen Warrior faction quest.
To achieve this goal, complete the faction quest of the Odeck tribe until the quest Ashen Warrior becomes available under the Faction Quests, Pailune, Odeck Tribe, Executioner of Justice, and finally the Ashen Warrior.
The Ashen Warrior quest involves killing Tarandus the Ashen for you to get the chest piece of the armor set.

The Ashen’s Plate Helmet is purchased from Craig’s Back Alley Shop, located south of Odeck.

The helmet becomes available after you’ve defeated Tarandus the Ashen. If it doesn’t appear immediately, continue unlocking the remaining armor pieces and check the shop again, as additional Tarandus the Ashen equipment can become available there once its requirements have been met.

The objective for this challenge is to hang onto a bear for more than 10 seconds. Finishing the challenge rewards you with the gloves.
Ashen’s Leather Cloak

The Ashen’s Leather Cloak is rewarded for completing the Tiny Citizens of Grasslands Life Challenge.

To finish this challenge, you’ll need to obtain all insect and arthropod knowledge entries. Once every required entry has been collected, the cloak is unlocked.
Back Alley Vendor
When it comes to acquiring the full Tarandus the Ashen set, the Back Alley Shop plays a vital role. Once you meet the requirements for unlocking each piece of armor, head over to Craig’s shop to see what has become available for purchase.
If you have only completed some quests or challenges, only those armor pieces will show up in the vendor’s inventory. So you have to continue with the missions and come back to Craig’s shop to check what piece you can purchase.
