The Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC adds fresh content for fans eager to dive deeper into the world of Stellar Blade. With stylish new outfits, collectible items, and a chain of side quests, this crossover brings additional flair and gameplay variety. However, starting the DLC can be slightly confusing if you’re not sure where to begin. This handbook will take you step by step through every step that is necessary so you can unlock and play the Nikke collaboration content to its fullest.

How to Start Nikke DLC?

Step 1: Purchase and Install the Nikke DLC

To gain access to the Nikke content, you will first need to own the DLC. It is available for purchase on both the PlayStation Store and Steam, depending on which platform you prefer. The Nikke DLC is available for individual purchase as an add-on or included with the Stellar Blade Complete Edition or the Stellar Blade Twin Expansion Pack. These packs also contain the NieR:Automata crossover DLC, which is additional value.

If you have not already purchased the Nikke DLC, it is not difficult to find. If you go to launch Stellar Blade and check the title screen, along the bottom of the screen, you should have a promotion image for the DLC right on there. Selecting that will direct you to the correct store where you can purchase your content and install it there.

Once installation is complete, you can start to unlock everything the DLC has to offer—but to do that, you’ll first need to advance to a certain point in the vanilla game.

Step 2: Reach the Wasteland Region

In order to begin the Nikke DLC content, your in-game narrative development must be advanced enough so that the Wasteland terrain is accessible. Specifically, you must have finished the main mission titled “Altess Levoire” and is the fourth major main mission in Stellar Blade. Typically, it will take new players approximately two and a half to three hours of gameplay to reach it.

If you’re playing from a new save file, simply continue progressing through the main story until this quest unlocks. You cannot approach the Wasteland through the Tetrapod transport mechanism directly, as it will make the game unable to load the non-playable character (NPC) that will introduce the Nikke DLC. To avoid this issue, you need to go to the city of Xion prior to entering the Wasteland. From inside Xion, exit the city through its south gate to access the Wasteland naturally. This ensures the event chain for the DLC is properly triggered.

Step 3: Find Volt and Trigger the DLC

Having done the entrance to the Wasteland from Xion, have your map in-game ready and look for a special marker highlighted for the Nikke collaboration event. This will be displayed as a white diamond, which is different from usual side quest or main quest indicators. This will be the location of the NPC that will trigger the DLC.

Head on over to the appointed location, where you will be able to locate Volt—a robotic dog that serves as the gateway to the crossover content. By visiting and interacting with Volt, a cutscene will take place. This cinematic scene represents the official beginning of the Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC.

After the cutscene ends, there is fresh content to experience. You will start receiving a chain of special side missions tied to the DLC. These quests aren’t just for fun or lore reasons—these pay out in a fresh type of currency, referred to as Bone-Wrenches. These Bone-Wrenches will become necessary in order to purchase Nikke-themed cosmetics from Volt’s exclusive shop.

What Unlocks After Starting the DLC?

Once the DLC is active and Volt’s store has been unlocked, you can begin fulfilling the various new requests that come with the crossover. The quests give you a steady flow of Bone-Wrenches, which you can then use to buy character costumes, accessories, and other cosmetics from the Nikke universe.

The cosmetic options are in themed packaging that changes EVE’s appearance and can be utilized to further customize. Some of the rewards will be strictly cosmetic, while others will arrive as collectibles and items completionists will appreciate.

Remember that Volt’s inventory can grow bigger with every task you complete, so make sure you visit him frequently as you move along.
