The first mission in the Shattered Space DLC is called “What Remains.” You can start it by going to any star system where you don’t have any other missions after you finish the first mission in the game, called “One Small Step.” This first mission takes you to Jemison on New Atlantis.

After you start the “What Remains” mission, you’ll go to The Oracle space station. This station is always available, no matter where you travel in the game. You’ll hear someone calling for help on The Oracle, which will start the “What Remains” mission in your quest log. Go aboard The Oracle and you’ll officially begin the mission. In this quest you need to find the Engineering Bay Access Card. It gives access to the controls of the computer room.

How to start the quest

When you go inside The Oracle, you’ll walk through long hallways that have no gravity. You’ll finally get to a room with a big, glowing, jelly-like thing in the middle. When you enter the room, you’ll see two ghosts. One of them looks like they’re trying really hard not to be pulled away. After a few seconds, one of the ghosts, named Basira, will give up to the force holding them, and you’ll have to fight the thing that’s doing this.

Take the Oracle Access Card and other things from Basira’s body, and listen to Sirak talking. Sirak is also trying not to be pulled away but is holding on. Use the Oracle Access Card to open a garage door at the end of the room and go to a new area.

When you go into the next room, you’ll see a big structure hanging with some of the blue, jelly-like stuff you saw before. But there will also be three enemies waiting to attack you. These enemies are called Phantoms, and they live in The Oracle. They’re all level 35 or higher and can shoot lightning at you. They’re very aggressive, so hide and shoot at them when you can.

After you beat the three Phantoms, follow the marker to a computer room. Here, you can get Sirak’s Log 1 and use a card reader. But you can’t use the card reader because you need to find the Engineering Bay Controls first. Go through the offices and small rooms behind the computer room to find a yellow door. Go through the door and go down the stairs to get to the next part of The Oracle.

Where to find the Engineering Access Bay card

After going down all the steps, you’ll get to a big opening. If you try to follow the marker, you’ll see the way forward is blocked by a big, brown box in the “Number 3” bay of a storage wall. To move the box, turn around and go into a computer room. Use the “3” button to remove the box from the Number 3 bay. Now you can go into the storage room and go through a hatch to get to another lower level.

In the lower level, follow the marker to a bed with the “Engineering Bay Access Card” on it. You can also find Sirak’s Log 3 on a table with a med pack. Go back to the “Access Card Reader” you just left by going back up the hatch and the stairs. Use the Engineering Bay Access Card to start the next part of the mission.
