This guide will help you start and finish the “The Money Drop” syndicate quest in Star Wars Outlaws. It will also tell you what happens when you choose to lie to Surat or tell him the truth at the end. So, let’s get started with the guide.
How to Start the Money Drop Quest
To start the “The Money Drop” quest, you first need to complete the “The Droidsmith” quest. Once you finish that, you’ll get a message from ND-5 asking you to go to Surat Nuat’s office in the Alcazar in Akiva.Surat Nuat says the Fathier table isn’t making as much money as it should. He thinks someone might be cheating the casino and wants to get involved if that’s true.
To complete this guide, you should have a good or better reputation with the Syndicate Factions. You can sneak through the Pyke Crystal Mine, but it’s easier if you improve your reputation with them. This won’t take long.
Investigate the Fathier table
Go to the Fathier table at the Alcazar to find out who’s been winning a lot lately. To get people to talk, you should place a bet yourself. You can bet between 5 and 50 credits. The payouts are pretty good. For example, if you bet 5 credits, you’ll get 41 credits back. To find out more, talk to the gamblers at the Fathier table after the game. One of them, called “Gambler,” will tell you that a woman named Werla won a lot of money and you can find her at the repair shop in Akiva. The repair shop is near the Myrra Spaceport and right outside the Alcazar.
Infiltrating Pyke Territory in Myrra
You talk to a merchant near the repair shop and learn a bit about Werla. The merchant says that Werla is very rich but still living in Akiva. He also says that Werla owes money to the repair shop because she asked them to build a machine for her. The merchant says that Werla often goes to the Pyke district to give away her money. She works for the Pyke Syndicate.
Now, you should go to the Market District. If you have a good relationship with the Pyke Syndicate, you can just go in. If not, you’ll need to go to the left, climb a gate, and find another way in. In the Pyke District, go to the Pyke Sabacc parlor and listen to Werla talking to someone. She says she can’t give any money and needs to leave. Werla is holding a datapad in her right hand. That’s what you want. Follow her outside and have Nix steal it. The datapad has a message telling Werla to take the money to a drop-off point. It’s a small farm up north, just over the bridge. You talk to Surat again and tell him that Werla is just part of a bigger plan.
Find Weirla at Myrra Valley
The only way to get to Werla is by a speeder. Werla is in Myrra Valley to meet someone to give them the money. The drop-off point is a dangerous place, even if you have a good relationship with the Pyke Syndicate. Be careful. You’re there to get information, not to get hurt. You’ll see Werla meeting with her contact to talk about the money and make sure no one is following her. After they finish talking, Werla goes into a house. You’ll need to be sneaky and take out the guard on the hill.
Inside the house, you listen to Werla talking to her contact. The contact knows that Surat is aware of the Pykes’ scam. The contact blames Werla for not being careful enough. The conversation ends when the contact shoots Werla. You tell Surat about what happened. Surat asks for more information. Kay tells him that the Pykes are cheating in the races and that she will investigate further at the Pyke Camp in Storm Hollow.
The Pyke Camp in Storm Hollow
To get to the Pyke Camp in Storm Hollow, you can either ride a speeder or fly the Trailblazer if you’ve been there before and have a good relationship with the Pyke Syndicate. Once you get there, search the area. The datapad is on the landing pad. If you’re walking in, you can find the datapad to the left, on top of some pallets.
The datapad tells you who will win the next Fathier race. Go back to the Alcazar. To check if the information is right, go to the Fathier table and bet on the winner using the clues from the datapad. The horse will win, so the datapad was correct. You’ll find more datapads with the winners because the jockeys have been paid off by a Canto official. You can use the clues on the datapads to win a lot of money at the Fathier table.
Should You Reveal the Pyke Scheme or Cover for the Pykes
You should go tell Surat about the scam. On your way to his office, you’ll meet a Pyke who knows you’ve been investigating. The Pyke offers you a bribe. You have a choice: tell Surat the truth and keep your promise, or lie to Surat and take the bribe from the Pyke Syndicate. If you tell Surat the truth, you’ll get reputation points and 1000 credits. If you lie to Surat and work for the Pyke Syndicate, you’ll get 2000 credits and reputation points.
Conclusion
It’s a good idea to cover for the Pykes. You’ll get 1000 more credits and your reputation with them will go up a lot. However, your reputation with the Hutt Cartel will go down.
The Pykes have a better maximum reputation reward. Their Faction Gear is the Imperial Disguise set, which lets you go through Imperial restricted areas without being noticed.
