While you’re checking out the Blue Creek Apartments, keep an eye out for the Clock puzzle in Room 212. You’ll notice a hint written on the wall to your left that gives clues about the positions of the clock hands. There’s also a note on the table across from it that will be useful. To unlock new doors in the Blue Creek Apartments, you need to explore the area and find the hands for the Clock’s face, then place them in the right order. Below, you’ll find the steps to solve the Clock puzzle in Room 212, following the main story route.
Find the Hour Hand to Solve the Clock Puzzle
You can find the Hour Hand inside a radio that’s chained up and hanging from the ceiling in Room 307. To get to it, you’ll need to find a valve for the pipe in the room next door. Start by going to Room 305 through the balcony outside Room 307, and don’t forget to grab the Apartment 306 key while you’re there.
Unlock and go into Room 306, then use the crawlspace next to the couch to access Room 304. There, grab the valve from the pipe in the main area. Once you have it, head back to the pipe next to the radio in Room 307 and use the valve to lower the contraption. After that, interact with it to get the Hour Hand.
Solution of the Hour Hand
Head back to the Clock in Room 212 and place the Hour Hand in position. Next, we need to figure out what number to turn the Hour Hand to. As per the note opposite the Clock:
“Henry fears Scott, he’ll run from him and hide,
He’s fled to the west, to the other side.”
The Hour Hand should be turned to the west, which will point to 9. So, the solution for the Hour Hand is to “turn it west to 9.”
Find the Minute Hand to Solve the Clock Puzzle
After you’ve set the Hour Hand, the door James labeled “H” on his map will unlock and open. Go inside, check the room, and break through the exposed wall in the kitchen. You can search the toilet, and you’ll find the Minute Hand inside.
Solution for the Minute Hand
After exploring the first floor, you’ll come across a stairwell that takes you back up to the second floor. Once you’re at the Clock, insert the Minute Hand and check the note on the wall to your left. It instructs you to point the Minute Hand toward 2, so the solution is to “turn the Minute Hand to the right to 2.”
Find the Second Hand to Solve the Clock Puzzle
You can find the Second Hand in the bedroom, accessed by solving the Combination Lock for Room 202. James will need to reach into a small hole in the wall to retrieve it.
Solution the Second Hand
The solution is to turn the Second Hand east to point at 3.
