You’ll find the Jukebox at Neely’s Bar, located on Neely Street in Eastern South Vale. To tackle this puzzle, players need to gather items to fix both the Broken Vinyl and the Jukebox. Solving it is essential to move forward in the story. In this guide, we will explain how to solve the Jukebox Puzzle in Neely’s Bar, Silent Hill 2 Remake.
Start the Jukebox Puzzle
After facing your first enemy in South Vale and making it back outside, you’ll spot a Matchbook lying next to a corpse that hints at the direction of Neely’s Bar. When players step into Neely’s Bar, they’ll notice a cloth-covered object against the far wall. If they interact with it, they’ll uncover a Jukebox. Checking it again as it will lead you to the discovery of a Broken Vinyl. But after that, the machine will start to malfunction.
Neely’s Bar Coin at Texan Cafe
You can find the Neely’s Bar coin in the cash register at the Texan Cafe, located at the corner of Lindsey St. and Katz St. Once you’re inside, take the Health Drink from the fridge behind the bar and check the cash register. Just turn the register key and press the bottom-right button to open it up. Be careful because you’ll get ambushed by an enemy right after that.
Glue and the Vinyl Broken Record at Groovy Music
Go inside the Groovy Music and take out the two enemies there. Once they’re taken care of, grab the ‘Record Store Note’ memo from the counter. It may seem like the rest of the room is empty, but if you smash the glass along the back wall, you’ll find another room behind it.
On the table in the center, you’ll see Vinyl Glue and the other half of the Broken Vinyl Record. With all three items needed for the Jukebox puzzle, open your inventory and select Key Items. Combine the two halves of the Broken Vinyl Record with the Vinyl Glue to create the Glued Up Vinyl Record.
The Jukebox Button
You’ll need a few more parts to get the Jukebox working. One important item, the missing Jukebox Button, is located on the 3rd Floor of Saul Apartments. You’ll find it tucked away in a hole in the wall of a bathroom. To access this room, don’t forget to grab the Apartment Key from the wall so you can unlock room 5.
Fix the Jukebox
Head back to Neely’s Bar and interact with the Jukebox. You’ll find three components to engage with in the exposed bottom half. Position the Green component so that the Red one can slide onto its prongs when you move it. After connecting the two components, turn the Green one out of the way so it doesn’t block the Blue component. Set the Blue component down, then rotate the Green component back toward the front. If you’ve done everything correctly, players will see a prompt to insert the Glued Up Vinyl.
Complete the Jukebox Puzzle
After you place the Glued Up Vinyl into the record stack, the records will lift up into the top half of the Jukebox. Next, insert the Neely’s Bar Coin and the Jukebox Button to unlock the option to select the plate that holds the Glued Up Vinyl. Press the C switch followed by the 2 button to play the Glued Up Vinyl on the Jukebox, triggering a short cutscene.
Completing the Jukebox puzzle will reward players with the Neely’s Bar Key, which they can use to unlock the door in Neely’s Bar. This gives players deeper access to the town.
