Sengoku Dynasty immerses you in feudal Japan. Build villages, expand your community, and conquer the open world through strategic warfare or economic dominance. All set to convert humble beginnings into a powerhouse of agriculture. Farming is necessary to feed a growing village in the vast world of the Sengoku Dynasty. Here is a guide to navigate all the steps from seed to harvest in the establishment of your own farm.

How to Grow Food

To start farming in the Sengoku Dynasty, you first need to build a village and then travel to Aratani town. Here, you can buy seeds from the Farming vendor. Be prepared to spend 180 Coins for a bag of seeds. There are two types of farming fields: Land Fields and Water Fields. Land Fields require watering with a special bucket, while Water Fields only need planting. You’ll also need a Hoe to prepare the fields.

While you can farm yourself, it’s much easier to assign a villager to the task. They only need a bag of seeds per season. Each field can hold one crop, and a seed bag typically lasts for a season. Villagers will automatically replace used tools, including seeds. Aim to have 4 Land Fields and 4 Water Fields. This will provide enough food for 20+ villagers for a while, especially when you consider cooking food. Your fields should be at least 2×2 tiles in size. For optimal production, I recommend a 4×5 or 5×5 field size. You can obtain seeds in the Sengoku Dynasty in two ways: by buying them from merchants or crafting them at the Tailor Workshop. Crafting your own seeds is often more economical than buying them. Plus, you might find wild plants to harvest. To create new seeds, you’ll need a small amount of fur and some of the plant you want to grow more of.
