In the shifting dunes of Arrakis, secrets are a currency as valuable as spice. And in Dune: Awakening, no mission demonstrates that more than “The Glutton”, a quest that’s rife with deception, betrayal, and murder. As an operative in the covert service of Count Fenring, your mission begins not with the target, but with an informant.
To proceed, you’ll need to locate Petyr, a secret contact who is deep within the heart of the infamous slaver compound known as Khidr’s Shadow. Here’s a walkthrough on how to locate him and progress the story.
The Setup: An Assassin’s Task

Your new assignment comes from Elara Tuek, a valued agent of Fenring. The task? Take apart a corrupt slaver lord who’s become a liability. Such assassinations, however, do not start with knives—they start with intelligence. And Petyr, far behind enemy lines, has the key.
He has ceased reporting. Your mission is to locate him—dead or alive—and extract whatever information he’s been able to find.
Tracking down the Slaver Base: Into Khidr’s Shadow

Your target is the Hagga Basin, a brutal and sun-baked region where lawlessness breeds. Cut into its cliffs and canyons is Khidr’s Shadow, a slaver compound crawling with slaver troops. The camp isn’t a few tents and some guards—it’s a compound, and not one you can just walk into unnoticed.
As you get close, keep to lofty ridges or follow the outer walls to avoid detection. Whether you walk or fast-travel, once you are close, the building and the patrol paths will inform you that you are where you want to be. This is not a friendly outpost.
The Search for Petyr

Petyr is being held in one of the less populated sections of the camp, locked away from prying eyes and noisy guards. To find him, make your way to the back-left corner of the slaver camp. If you’re coming in through the main gates, pass by the middle buildings and make your way up and left—what players would call the southwestern corner of the base.

There, in the darkness and almost a part of the stone itself, is a black cage. That’s where he is. Don’t wait for a cutscene right away; the quest typically has you manually interact with the cage first before it will update. If you’re unsure if you’ve found him, wait for voiced dialogue or keep an eye on your objective tracker—it should update once the interaction completes.
What Comes Next: The Poisoned Feast
Once you’ve spoken to Petyr, the pieces fall into place. He reveals your target’s habits, particularly his penchant for extravagant meals. You’ll now be directed toward the Glutton’s personal dining area, where your objective becomes far more dangerous: infiltrate the space and poison his food with chaumas.
The poison is subtle. The kill must be cleaner. Petyr will guide you, but from this moment on, every step counts. Guards may still be around. Discretion is your best defence.
