In the official artwork and trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you would have noticed the Trainer riding either Miraidon or Koraidon as bikes, and using them as a mode of transport. If you are wondering how to do the same, you don’t have to look too far. Depending on what version you have, you will either get Miraidon for Violet or Koraidon for Scarlet, but the process of taking it for a spin remains the same. You can start riding Miraidon and Kiraidon fairly early into the game, as soon as you can get these legendries in your team. Here we will see how to ride them in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

You can unlock the ability to ride after completing the tutorial and meeting your legendary. This will happen sometime before you visit Mesagoza school. After meeting either Miraidon or Koraidon and having it in your party, visit the academy and talk to all the NPCs, especially with Director Clavell, Nemona, and Arven. After learning about the three storylines you can pick, Nemona will tell you to sleep and get some rest. The next day, after Clavell’s speech about the Treasure Hunt, Arven and Nemona will tell you how to ride Koridon or Miraidon. To ride, just press the + button on your Switch after deploying your Pokémon. You can also jump over obstacles by pressing B. To unlock more abilities while riding, such as swimming or gliding, you have to find and defeat the various Titan Pokémon around Paldea to get new abilities to teach Koraidon or Miraidon.
