To start the Once Here or He Was Here quest, make your way to No. 73 Source Extraction Point in Red Sands (2835, -1746). You need to complete all the other objectives and infiltrate Rosetta’s Research Lab. Once you are inside, you will encounter some strange enemies within. There are two types of monstrous enemies within. One of them can be defeated by shooting them, while the other types cannot be shot down.

To quickly bypass the ones you cannot shoot, you need to stare at them and they will freeze for a few seconds. This will give you enough time to escape them and run to the next area. Keep turning back and staring at the monsters every once in a while to stun them. The path to find Dennis is pretty linear. From the entrance, make your way down the Passage A and go through the brightly lit doors first.

Shoot the tentacles blocking your way directly at the blue glowing spots. Enter the room beyond the tentacles and grab the access card first. Go back out the doors and you will spot a door that requires the access card to unlock. Pass through the corridors and go through the door where you will spot one of the monsters guarding the door. Past this door is where Dennis is, thus completing the first objective of this quest
