The New Souls of the Brotherhood Quest in Gothic 1 Remake is an important quest that will help you gain the faith of the Brotherhood at the Swamp Camp. As part of the quest, the leader of the Brotherhood named Baal Tondral will ask you to find a suitable candidate at the Old Camp and persuade him to become a part of the Brotherhood. Even though the quest may seem straightforward, you’ll have some challenges on your way. This guide will tell you every step needed to complete the quest and earn Baal Tondral’s approval.
New Souls for The Brotherhood Quest
In order to start New Souls for The Brotherhood, visit the southeastern portion of the Swamp Camp and speak with Baal Tondral. As soon as he starts a dialogue with you, speak to him once more and select “How can I prove myself to you?” from the conversation options.
Baal Tondral will inform you that he wishes you to help develop the Brotherhood by recruiting a new member from the Old Camp. With this assignment given to you, the questline of New Souls for The Brotherhood will start.
Finding Dusty
Go back to Old Camp and search for Dusty at night time. You will find Dusty hanging out in the Market zone around South Gate listening to a sermon by Baal Parvez. Speak to Dusty and inform him about becoming a member of the Brotherhood. While speaking with Dusty about Brotherhood, inform him about how Melvin is doing well after being a member of the Brotherhood. This way, Dusty agrees to become a member of the Brotherhood along with you.
When you have the 100 Ore Nuggets, travel to the South Gate of the Old Camp, where the collapsed tower can be seen. Be very cautious of the dialogue when talking to the guards at the gate. Insulting them and telling them that you are bringing Dusty to the Swamp Camp will result in their hostility.
With the bribe paid and the guards out of the way, bring Dusty to the Swamp Camp safely. Once there, you need to find and talk to Baal Tondral. Baal Tondral won’t be happy with your recruit, but he will accept Dusty into the Brotherhood nonetheless. With his acceptance of Dusty, the quest will be complete.
