Hellhounds are located inside dog houses that spawn randomly on the map. You can find them across all zones and you would have to do a bit of digging to find them. Take a vehicle and quickly zip around the map to find the doghouse. Once you spot it, you need to drop Chunk of Flesh inside it to tame the Hellhound. To get Chunk of Flesh, you need to kill zombies using explosives. You can also get them by shooting them, but the drop would be rarer than using an explosive. It is best to find a group of zombies and use an explosive to increase your chance of getting Chunk of Flesh.

Now all you have to do is head back to the dog house, drop the Chunk of Flesh, and the Hellhound will quickly appear and lunge at the nearest enemy. The higher the zones you go to, the more Chunks of Flesh the Hellhound will require. At Zone 2 it will need 2 flesh, and 3 flesh at Zone 3. The Hellhounds in Zone 3 are the strongest compared to Zone 2 and Zone 1. Hellhounds can help revive you and your teammates but will take a small chunk of health from you in return. They can also attack all nearby enemies and be a helpful addition to your team. Furthermore, you can pet them when they are standing still to unlock the You Can Pet The Dog achievement.
