Characters in MultiVersus will be judged based on how easily playable they are, their skill sets, and whether they will work well in a team or not. They will be ranked from Tier S to Tier C, with S Tier characters being the most powerful and player-friendly, while C Tier characters will require some time to learn their moves, which is not very ideal for beginners. Below are all the best characters ranked.
Tier S – Harley Quinn, Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry
Harley Quinn is an agile assassin, making her speed unmatched in the arena. While she does take a higher amount of damage, this can be mitigated using the proper perks. She is also great for both ranged and close combat, and most of her movies apply knockback. As for Bugs, he is a well-rounded character overall and can be used in the offensive as well as defense. Like Harley Quinn, Bugs Bunny is also great for any combat, be it ranged or close. Tom and Jerry on the other hand are a powerful duo, who can be used at both close and range. Each of them can individually aim their attacks, making the win in their favor.
Tier A – Finn, Shaggy, Wonder Woman, Arya Stark, Jake
Finn is a versatile character, as he can block projectiles as well as an attack while moving. This can help him avoid too close combat, while still dealing damage from afar. His passive helps in making him more powerful the more gold is collected, making him perfect for team combat. Shaggy is another popular character to use in battle, as his versatile fighting style makes him use his attacks from any angle. Also, Shaggy’s Rage powers help improve damage output for him as well as his team. You can use Wonder Woman as the perfect defense ally in your team, as she is quite good at blocking projectiles and other ranged or close combat moves. Arya Stark’s special moves include stunning and copying the enemy’s moves, as well as using her knife-throwing skills to hit enemies at range.
Tier B – Velma, Taz, Garnet, Batman
Velma is a bit difficult to control in the arena since her moves are limited to most ranged attacks. Also, her damage output is not that high, even after stacking up her moves on the enemy. Taz is also one of the least favorite characters in the MultiVersus fandom since most of his moves can be easily countered by an opposing attack. Garnet is great for close-range attacks but doesn’t have a lot of variety when it comes to air attacks, hence making it difficult for her to deal air damage as well as deal with ranged attacks from enemies. Batman’s attack cooldowns make him at a disadvantage, plus he has a lot of airborne movesets, making him less ideal for ground fights.
Tier C – Iron Giant, Steven Universe, Superman, Reindog
Don’t be fooled by the Iron Giant’s size, since that makes his moves slower and cumbersome. While he does have a couple of powerful moves, they are no match for agile and speedy characters like Harley Quinn and Bugs Bunny. Steven Universe can only be used by veteran players who know how to play the game since his skill sets are a bit more complicated. That, coupled with his cooldown, makes him quite unreliable unless you know what you are doing. Superman’s powerful moves make him advantageous in battle, but they can get predictable rather quickly. Plus, the lack of combo effects can make him get out of the arena quicker than other characters.
