There are a bunch of new trophies to collect in MW3’s new campaign missions. But some of them can get tricky to collect. One of the achievements you can get while playing the campaign is the Elevator Out of Order trophy. For this trophy, you need to reach the roof in ‘Highrise’ in under 45 seconds, and the only way you can get to the top is with an Ascender. Ascender Location in MW3 Highrise
When you first start the mission, you have to manually make your way up to the 11th floor of the building to get the ascender. Climb up the elevator shaft ladders to reach the fifth floor, then kill the enemies on the passage. Along the way, keep an ear out for Price’s instructions on intruder alerts. This will make it easier to prepare yourself and shoot them down.
Take the stairs up to the sixth floor, kill any enemy you encounter, and find the stairs at the end of the corridor. You will spot an open window that you can climb out of and walk along the rafters. Enter through the first door you find on your left, climb up the shelf, and find the ladder on your right to climb up further.
Turn around and go out the door, climb the crates and jump across. Keep running through the rafters on the right till you reach the open door straight ahead. You have now reached floor 11. Explore the floor to find the Ascender inside a crate near the staircase.
How to Unlock Elevator Out of Order Trophy/Achievement
Now that you have the ascender, restart the mission. Once you make it to the elevator shaft, use the ascender to get up. Once you reach floor 5, continue onwards through the corridor till you reach the stairs that will take you up to floor 6. Use the ascender on the rope near the stairs. Once you reach floor 11, there is another zipline that leads out the window. Grab onto that and make your way across to get the trophy.
