We’ll have to make a tough decision. When we join the competition for the throne and go after the Heismay bounty, we’ll encounter a problem. Two other competitors, Gideaux and Glodell, will be fighting on the road. We’ll have to choose whether to help Glodell or not. This decision will have important consequences. This guide will explain to you what those consequences are and recommend the best option.
Who is Glodell in Metaphor: Refantazio
Idaeus Glodell is a young warrior from the Roussainte tribe who works for Louis Guiabern. He’s a power-hungry person who wants to be a leader. He’s always trying to do things to impress Louis.
Should you help Glodell in Battle
It looks like Gideaux is going to win without our help, but we can choose to help Glodell if we want. Glodell was kind of rude to us when we first met, so we might not want to help him. By assisting him in his fight against Gideaux, we can get closer to Louis and learn more about him. Even though we don’t necessarily want Louis to win the tournament, supporting Glodell will definitely get him to notice us. Plus, we’ll get to test our skills against Gideaux and his soldiers in a mini-boss fight.
If we don’t help Glodell, Strohl will get mad at us and insist that we do it anyway. He’ll say something like, “I know, I don’t like it either, but if we want Louis to like us, this is what we need to do.”
In this game, it seems like all our choices lead to the same ending, even if we make the wrong ones.
How to defeat Gideaux
We’ll have a short fight with Gideaux, but we won’t be able to hurt him. He’s too strong. Instead, we’ll have to fight the Mage Monk and Spearmonk, who are with him.
It’s best to defeat the Mage Monk first. Their spells can be really annoying. If you defeat them, they’ll stop all magic, so don’t even try using magic against them. Just use physical attacks.
For the Spearmonk, you’ll need to use magic. They’re weak to ice damage, so bring a Mage with you or use an ice spell.
What happens after helping Glodell in Battle
Once we defeat Gideaux’s friends, the fight will be over. We’ll then talk to Glodell and Junah. When Glodell asks why we helped, we should say, “I wanted to help.”
Louis will then appear. Even though we’ll have some choices to make, we’ll basically be forced to say certain things. So when he asks why we’re there, we should say, “I’m a candidate.” And then, we must tell him, “I want to help you, Count Louis.”
