Tancred, Master of Castigations Location
You will encounter this boss inside the Tower of Penance. He is hard to miss, since he is one of the main bosses in the area.
Tancred, Master of Castigations Fight Preparation
Tancred will use Bleed, Holy, and Smite attacks, so having Bleed Cure, Bleed Resistance Balms, Smite Cure, Smite Resistance Balms, and Holy Ward will protect you. You can use Fire Salts and Poison Salts to counter his attacks
Tancred, Master of Castigations Fight Guide
- Tancred attacks using his staff and shield that can deal holy damage. While using his melee attacks, you can quickly dodge, block, or parry
- He will stab you with the staff or try to thrust it at you. Sometimes he will perform these actions consecutively.
- If you had the opportunity to get behind him, deal as much damage as possible before backing away
- He takes a brief pause after doing consecutive attacks. Use this to rush towards him and attack
- Tancred can also use his shield to smash the floor or bash you when you get too close. If you see him raise his shield get out of the way as it will do huge damage
- Midway through the fight, he will summon holy attacks like projectiles and beams. The only way you can avoid this is to run around the arena in a circle till it wears out
- He also has one holy AoE attack, where he will punch the ground with his fist. Back away when you spot him drawing holy energy.
- The only way you can get in some hits is when he is fighting using his staff. Keep rolling behind or beside him to deal some damage
- Avoid attacking him when he is powered up with holy damage. Usually his holy attacks are ranged and cover a large area, making it near impossible to get close to him.
- If you cannot close the distance in time, switch to ranged attacks and spells to quickly take him down.
- With this, you can complete this fight and continue the rest of the battle with Reinhold the Immured
