There isn’t much you have to do to beat the Hygrodere, as all they do is multiply and crawl slowly towards you. It is best to avoid them by trying to get around them. You can climb on top of the railings and walk around them, or even jump across if they haven’t spread too wide. Just be careful not to fall into the middle of the Hygrodere, as you will be sucked right in and it will be extremely difficult to get out and will result in death. They do move at a really slow pace, so you can simply go about your day and complete collecting scraps if you are not boxed in by them. Just be aware of the wet squelching sounds they make when they are nearby and get away before you are trapped.
Some strategies you can use to avoid the Hygrodere in case you are cornered are:
- Place a Boombox near it to distract it
- If the Hygrodere is near a room, try to lure it inside and close the door
- Hygrodere cannot climb, so if you are cornered, find a platform like a railing or anything with a height to avoid it.
- If you are near the building exit and the Hygrodere is closing in, just exit the building and leave the moon. Getting trapped by the Hygrodere is not worth it
