In “Separation Anxiety”, Black Ops 6 takes the player inside Jane Harrow’s mind, piecing together her past through an engaging scavenger hunt. It is one of the most memorable missions in the campaign because it will keep challenging its players to collect shards of mirror by solving puzzles. These shards are basically important parts for shifting the story and ultimately lead to the campaign. In a foggy alternative version of the Vorkuta base map from “Under the Radar,” the player has to solve three vital puzzles, every one in a different area, to unlock the code that would give the player the first mirror shard needed to proceed.
Separation Anxiety Mission – Black Ops 6
The “Separation Anxiety” mission in Black Ops 6 is the second-to-last in the campaign, tying together key elements of the story. The “Separation Anxiety” mission in the Black Ops 6 campaign stands out as one of the most unique in the entire series. One of the objectives has players going on a scavenger hunt while navigating through the mind of Jane Harrow. The mission begins with a scavenger hunt to uncover Harrow’s past by collecting mirror shards. These shards are essential to progress through the story, which ultimately leads to the conclusion of the main campaign. In the Separation Anxiety mission of the Black Ops 6 Campaign, you need to find a total of three mirror shards. To find the first shard, players must solve puzzles involving the desk, the Scout cupboard, and the Tea Party to uncover the code. In this mission, you’ll be in a foggy version of the Vorkuta base map from “Under the Radar.” To find the clue areas, look for doors that are lit up, as they mark the entrances to each area.
Desk
The Separation Anxiety Desk clue is a simple one. It just says: “Working hard and wanting more. Always seek the highest score”. The first puzzle on the desk asks you to identify the highest test score to find the first number. Head to the first location marker to begin. The puzzle presents three test scores: 5, 9, and 8 from Jane’s math tests. Since 9 is the highest score, it becomes the first number.
Scouts
The Separation Anxiety Scouts clue will guide you to a trophy cabinet, where you’ll find this clue: “Count them all and let’s begin. Trophies minus badges will get you the win”.The second puzzle, the Scouts puzzle, can be solved by subtracting the number of trophies from the number of badges. In this puzzle, Jane is shown crying near a campfire, and a flashlight highlights a cabinet filled with trophies and badges she earned during her childhood. Jane has 6 trophies and 5 badges. Subtracting the badges from the trophies (6 – 5) gives you the answer to the second puzzle, which is “1”.
Tea Party
The Tea Party clue will take you to a small doll’s tea party, where you’ll find this clue: “They came for tea and friendly chat. Count the guests and double that”. The third puzzle, the Tea Party, features 4 toys having a tea party. To solve it, simply double the number of guests to get the final number. Since there are 4 guests, doubling that gives you “8”, which is the last number.
Finally, use the code 918 to open the chest and retrieve the first shard for Harrow’s mirror.
