Using the customization option and building your perfect merc, you can pick your required traits, perks, and talents. Of course, before you begin, you need money. Hiring a custom merc will cost 7000$, but this is a once payment. Custom mercs are hired indefinitely, unlike contract mercs. So have a thorough look at the build before you buy.
To create a custom Merc, follow the steps below.
- Go to the A.I.M Database where you can hire mercs and click on the tab called I.M.P Web
- Select the login option and click on Enter in the login screen
- You get two options for a custom merc. You can take a personality test to let the game create a merc for you, or you can create one without their help
- If you select the option to skip the test, you will be taken to the customization page
- You can pick a name, nickname, and change your character’s appearance in the first box
- In the second box, slide through the attributes you want. Sending the slider to the right will give that attribute a higher boost.
- You will get 550 Attribute Points to use, so use them where it is most needed
- Click on Next to go to the traits and perks page. Select the ones you want on your merc
- Once you are done with the selection, click on confirm and pay the one time fee
