Remnant 2 is known for its exploration, and the new Dark Horizon DLC is even better. The Dark Horizon map is very tall, and you can only travel between islands using glider drones.

Glider drones are one of the most exciting new features of Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon. They’re easy to learn how to use, and they make the map much more open and vertical. The only downside is that glider drones are only available in the new Dark Horizon regions.

How to Use Glider Drones

You just need to approach a glider drone’s ground station, and it’s going to pop right up for you to grab onto using the Interact key. Glider drones in The Dark Horizon are a bit clunky and hard to control. You need to hold the Forward key to keep going, but your character’s weight makes the drone glide downwards instead of flying straight.

How to Fly a Glider Drone

To use a glider drone effectively, don’t try to fly backward and watch out for strong winds. To reach some ledges and other areas, you will have to use a glider. Glowing doors and fractured cliff sides often indicate that you are about to find some type of hidden treasure. Glider drones are a bit awkward to use, but they’re very helpful for exploring The Dark Horizon. It would be nice if they were available in other parts of N’Erud.

How to Find a Glider Drone

To find a Glider Station and take off into the skies in The Dark Horizon you will need to find it near the cliffs and high points. Simply interact with a station to launch into the air and explore the elevated areas above. It adds an entirely new dimension to the game and opens up possible paths toward locating hidden treasures and secrets.
