To find the Blacksmith and learn how to upgrade armor, first make your way to Bitter Lake > North Shore of the Bitter Lake in Chapter 3. You need to find and defeat Chen Loong here. You can find this boss by heading right of the shrine and follow the path where the torches are lit. On your left is a frozen lake, step on it and keep going to find Chen Loong. You can quickly defeat this boss by having Immobilize, Pluck of Many, and Red Tides. Use as many combo moves as possible to defeat it
After defeating Chen Loong, you need to rush and find medicine to cure him. Head over to Crouching Tiger Temple > Cellar in Chapter 2’s Yellow Wind Ridge. Over here you will find Xu Dog, an NPC who would have taught you to craft medicine. Speak to him and you will receive a tonic. Take it back to Chen Loong, who is standing outside the hut near the frozen lake where you defeated him. Hand over the medicine and you will be transported to Zodiac Village, where you can meet the Blacksmith to upgrade your armor
